Since taking up the baton from Edwina McCann as Vogue Australia editor-in-chief, Christine Centenera has flexed the ability to drop covers featuring a plethora of A-list talent. Names like Sarah Snook, Anna Sawai, Troye Sivan, and Margaret Qualley have fronted the Aussie fashion bible over recent months. Next up on the cover of Vogue Australia is Natalie Portman. Lachlan Bailey was called upon to capture the Israeli-American actress, with Centenera herself on styling duties for the shoot. For the official print cover (below), Portman gazes down Bailey’s lens wearing a look from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Spring 2025 Christian Dior collection (as a brand ambassador, obviously). In the alternative digital cover (after the jump), the “Fountain of Youth” star poses in a laced LaQuan Smith look and jewelry from Tiffany & Co.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“I love the portrait cover, Natalie looks gorgeous,” raved fauxfashion upon checking out the covers.

“OK, they did my girl Natalie Portman good,” Summer Day approved.

WAVES declared: “The best Australian Vogue cover in YEARS! Natalie looks so good!”

“Oh, this is good,” confessed Lucien112.

“The portrait cover is beautiful. And I appreciate she’s not styled to look inappropriately young with an edgy haircut, silly makeup, and ragged street style like mags sometimes do with 30+ year old actresses. Portman is a beautiful 40+ year old woman, and that’s worth celebrating,” commended woemwoem.

“She looks great. Very assertive, attuned to herself and organic. Stripped back but still in control,” added forum member Cocteau Stone.

“Absolutely gorgeous coloring and lighting, just as I have come to expect from Lachlan Bailey. He’s an absolute master of these earthy tones that I just love so much, and he always captures his subjects so beautifully. One of the strongest Vogue covers of the month,” voiced vogue28.

Make no mistake that Vogue Korea throws their support around the girls of Blackpink. From the get-go, editor-in-chief Shin Kwang-ho has endorsed the ladies of the K-pop sensation like there’s no tomorrow – from a selection of multi-covers featuring each of the girls as cover stars together to Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo going solo. To no one’s amazement, up next on the cover of Vogue Korea is Jisoo. The South Korean singer and actress is welcomed back onto the cover of the magazine, exactly three years after her last. Jisoo poses for photographer Go Wontae, with the Dior brand ambassador decked out in a selection of archival Christian Dior looks (designed by Monsieur Christian Dior himself, to current creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri) across a selection of seven collectable covers.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Jisoo is not very good in front of the camera, but I like the idea of shooting her in Dior by all their creative directors,” voiced Xone.

“Love the Dior concept, but whoever selected the Galliano and hid it so much that the end result looks like a Maria Grazia look… jail!” declared aracic.

“The choices of those outfits make me feel like it is a strategy to sabotage other Dior designers to regain CD’s authority over their successors because they could have chosen better outfits from each designer,” called out forum member JohannesL.

It has been the worst-kept secret in fashion. Finally, the announcement(?) has dropped that Jonathan Anderson is now the creative director of Dior Men. For months, rumors have been rampant that the revered British designer was to replace Maria Grazia Chiuri at Christian Dior. Today, at LVMH’s annual shareholders’ meeting in Paris, Bernard Arnault announced Anderson has replaced Kim Jones (who parted ways with the fabled French fashion house in January). Last month, Anderson departed Loewe as creative director following a celebrated 10-year tenure. During the upcoming Spring 2026 season of Menswear Paris Fashion Week in June, the London College of Fashion graduate (and our 2023 Designer of the Year) will present his debut collection.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Finally some movement!” [Salvatore]

“Wish he could debut with a womenswear collection but happy they finally announced him. Can’t wait to see what he does!” [Creative]

“Such an underwhelming announcement. Bernard only confirmed it because a shareholder asked him during a meeting? LOL!” [fashionmarketeditor]

“I’m starting to think there’s something troublesome going on with MGC’s departure/Jonathan’s arrival that is hampering the proper announcements. This is so unlike LMHV to just throw what would be their biggest news of the year so casually in a shareholder meeting.” [Marc10]

“I love how random the announcement was. I mean, it’s the worst kept secret of the industry and the man has been working there already. They did not bother doing a press release probably because they are waiting for MCG to leave in order to properly appoint him.” [Lola701]

Very happy for him to finally get some validation from the top but still the way they handling the change of reign is just embarrassing.” [Olaffo]

The world of fashion continues to hold its breath for the *imminent* announcement of Maria Grazia Chiuri departing Christian Dior. The Italian designer became the first female creative director of the fabled French fashion house in 2016, and rumors continue to swirl Jonathan Anderson (formerly of Loewe) will replace MGC. As announced back in January, Dior ventured to Kyoto, Japan, to stage its Pre-Fall 2025 collection. The lineup paid tribute to Monsieur Christian Dior’s obsession with florals and birds. MCG collaborated with local Japanese artisans for the occasion (one of which began working with the house more than 70 years ago). In the garden of the Toji Temple, models emerged backstage and walked the space parading long overcoats and dresses in a muted and monochromatic color palette.

Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“The location seems better than Chanel, but I am tired of those cliches when the references and inspiration behind those collections are minimal.” [JohannesL]

“Very sombre.” [oioioi]

“It’s literally the same as always and I swear she did something identical at Valentino for a Pre-Fall collection in 2016. This woman is completely out of ideas, and yet she insists on staying in the fashion industry and churning out the same thing over and over again.” [Frederic01]

“It’s very under-produced. Where are the ideas?” [Norden]

“I mean… different location, same clothes. Again and again.” [proseccotabis]

“The Japanese references were used in such a literal, bland and uninspiring way. I wish MGC would have been more creative about it.” [Kennnn]

“From a pure clothing standpoint, I actually love a lot of what I’m seeing here. The cut of those pants, the coats and all… Very obvious and simple but it’s the stuff I love. Even the platform sandals.” [Lola701]

“What an amazingly beautiful location.” [brandon J pierre]

Should you have paid your local newsstand a visit over recent years, you’ve undoubtedly encountered Anya Taylor-Joy. The American-born Argentine-British actress has covered just about every notable fashion magazine on the planet – from American ELLE to British GQ and Vogue Australia to Flaunt. As a result, it should come as no surprise to see Anya Taylor-Joy grace the cover of Vogue Spain for March 2025. The Gorge star appears before the lens of Sebastian Faena for the occasion, with Max Ortega on styling duties. In the cover image, the fashion darling and Christian Dior brand ambassador (who was last on the cover of Vogue Spain for October 2021) sports a bejeweled bodysuit from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Spring 2025 Christian Dior collection.

“No joy,” voiced tigerrouge upon checking out the cover.

“Kristen McMenamy lite. It’s so… greige,” critiqued aracic.

“Blah. Anya Taylor-Joy is so boring,” chimed in forum member proseccotabis.

Also underwhelmed was thenewclassic. “She looks dull, or like she just woke up and stepped outside. I am sure there was better pictures,” they noted.

“Anya Taylor-Joy is someone who I would not miss should they never grace the cover of a fashion magazine again. She’s beautiful but is so unbelievably boring and mundane in photographs, and gives NOTHING. The amateur photography and naff styling aren’t helping matters here either,” shared vogue28.

Yet not everyone was left so unsatisfied. “I really like the washed-out photography and styling,” admired kokobombon.

“Love it!” simply declared JPineapple.

“I like it, but also wish we could see both her eyes. It’s probably my biggest pet peeve with cover pictures,” wrote forum member WAVES.

Female photographers have become somewhat of a signature for Maria Grazia Chiuri at Christian Dior. After becoming the first-ever female creative director of the fabled French fashion house in 2016, Maria Grazia Chiuri has commissioned a whole plethora of female talent for Dior’s campaign imagery. Names like Brigitte Lacombe. Paola Mattioli, Alice Mann, Brigitte Niedermair, and Collier Schorr have been called up throughout MGC’s tenure at Dior. The Italian designer (whose departure is rumored to be imminent) enlisted Sarah Jones last season, and it’s a repeat performance for the Christian Dior Spring 2025 campaign outing. Models Ali Dansky, Claudia Campana, Lilli Ostendarp, and Xiuli Jiang make up the casting this season, with the girls roaming a makeshift country garden setting.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“The one thing I’m excited about when it comes to MGC leaving Dior is that we can finally move on from all these stupid lifeless campaigns,” voiced Thefrenchy straight away.

“The clothes and the set design are completely at odds,” noted Frederic01.

“That set design is cheap. I can see the plastic ivy and its clumsy placement from miles away,” forum member Norden pointed out.

GivenchyHomme wasn’t into it either. “Dull, lackluster, etc. MGC’s choice of models is questionable as per usual. Unfortunately, it’s impossible for them to elevate this to where it needs to go,” they stated.

“Statues in a cemetery look more alive than this…” jeanclaude chimed in.

The Fall 2025 season of Paris Fashion Week has been in full swing and full of highly-anticipated directional debuts since day one. Running from Monday, March 3 until Tuesday, March 11 – perhaps the best of The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s jam-packed schedule is yet to come.

PFW started off with one almighty bang, as Maria Grazia Chiuri unveiled her latest for Christian Dior. The designer sought inspiration from the gender-crossing character of Orlando from Virginia Woolf’s eponymous novel. Alaïa’s Pieter Mulier made a triumphant return to the Paris Fashion Week calendar this season, while Julian Klausner finally made his womenswear debut as Dries Van Noten creative director.

Eighties silhouettes, embroidered over-the-knee boots, and zebra print reigned supreme at Balmain. Haider Ackermann staged his first collection as Tom Ford creative director – receiving a standing ovation from Mr. Ford himself (as well as our very own forum members). At Chloé, Chemena Kamali continued to double down on her Bohemian vision for the legendary French fashion house. Julien Dossena’s Rabanne showcase brought some serious razzle dazzle to Paris Fashion Week.

Dramatic collars, strong shoulder pads, and killer heels were on full display at Rick Owens. At the historic Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, Daniel Rosberry served up his Texas-inspired Schiaparelli collection. Sarah Burton welcomed guest inside the iconic Givenchy atelier on 3 Avenue Georges V, to present her very first collection inspired by the rich archives of the fabled French fashion house.

The Fall 2025 season of Paris Fashion Week is officially a-go, with the fashion pack looking toward Maria Grazia Chiuri at Christian Dior to kick-start the 9-day extravaganza. Rumors continue to circulate the industry that the Italian designer is set to step down as the creative force behind the fabled French fashion house, with Jonathan Anderson already poised as a successor. Earlier today, Maria Grazia Chiuri presented the Christian Dior Fall 2025 collection within the Tuileries Garden. MGC’s latest lineup ultimately drew inspiration from the gender-crossing character of Orlando from Virginia Woolf’s eponymous novel. Chiuri also revisited the archives for the lace-heavy collection, particularly the collections of Gianfranco Ferré and John Galliano. Models emerged from backstage, to parade through a dramatic set by Robert Wilson featuring meteorites and icebergs.

Christian Dior Fall 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Looks like a funeral procession.” [liberty33r1b]

“Wow this show is bad. So sad and this music and the flow was just really limp. Girl you work for Dior! Give us something!” [Norden]

“I honestly can’t find one good thing to say about this collection. Repetitive, derivative, boring.” [AnaD]

“I feel bad for the people who have to attend Maria Grazia Chiuri’s shows, I’d fall asleep for sure.” [svpernova[

“Her shows are excruciating. I have no patience and cannot watch them. She always has to inundate us with some overly intellectual performance to make up for her lack of design capabilities. I am counting down to her exit!” [Salvatore]

“What a torture to watch.” [disco54]

“There’s a disconnect between the clothes, presentation and music. It feels like all different elements that were the decision by different people, no coherence or message. The clothes always look good in the stores, but the shows make no sense.” [donyan]

Monica Barbaro’s SAG Awards 2025 photos rightly did justice to her stunning plunging red-hot Dior gown and Bulgari jewelry. Barbaro, who is also a first-time Oscar nominee for her role in the Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown,” made a fiery entrance as the French luxury fashion house’s brand ambassador on the golden carpet on Sunday. Her ensemble caught the eye with its dangerously low neckline, bright color, and other dramatic features that added a touch of vibrant shades to the event’s golden setting.

Monica Barbaro pairs plunging gown with Bulgari jewelry at SAG Awards 2025

Making a plunging red Dior gown work, Monica Barbaro‘s SAG Awards 2025 photos showed her making a fiery entrance on Sunday night’s red carpet in Los Angeles. She made all the stops in a halterneck, column outfit, making a show-stopping appearance by pairing it with striking Bulgari jewelry. Barbaro’s body-fitting gown had an exceedingly and dramatically low neckline that offered a full view of her torso. In addition, it was cinched around the waist with a matching belt and a backless design, with the skirt forming a slight train for an even more theatrical element.

The actor’s fashion stylist, Jeanann Williams, masterminded the overall ensemble alongside makeup artist Samantha Lau. The two shared multiple snaps from the event with her looking as elegant as ever for the big awards night in Instagram posts and stories. Moreover, Lau dropped details about Barbaro’s tasteful makeup for her radiant and glowing skin using L’Oréal Paris products to make her look red carpet-ready in a recent Instagram post. As for her accessories, she appeared to be wearing some extraordinary pieces from Bulgari’s Serpenti collection, including a diamond-studded bracelet, statement earrings, and a ring.

Monica Barbaro’s SAG Awards 2025 photos and videos also showed her joining her “A Complete Unknown” co-stars on stage to speak at Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall. She stood next to Timothee Chalamet, whose big win proved essential for the team, Elle Fanning, and Edward Norton. Barbaro was also a SAG nominee in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role category. She is now up for her nomination in the same category at the Academy Awards.
