That’s a complete wrap on Paris Fashion Week, with the 9-day fashion extravaganza coming to one almighty close last night following a megawatt presentation from Anthony Vaccarello at Saint Laurent. Vaccarello was tasked with closing out The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s schedule and amped up the drama with a “fantastically 80s” collection.

Earlier in the week, the second portion of Paris Fashion Week served up the Fall 2025 collection of Victoria Beckham, who presented a collection that focused on form-fitting dresses and strong tailoring. This season, the Hermès woman got tougher while Elie Saab was all about après-ski glamour. Statement fur was seen on coats, boots, headpieces, and bags. At the Galerie de Géologie et de Minéralogie, Seán McGirr explored the relationship of English urban life and the great outdoors for McQueen.

Now onto his fifth Valentino collection, Alessandro Michele insisted his models strut a red-tiled runway, decked out in extravagant gowns, embellished suits and lace headpieces. At Balenciaga, Demna served up everything from floor-length hoodies and officecore looks to bathrobes and sportswear-inspired looks. Nicolas Ghesquière once again tapped into the traveling spirit of Louis Vuitton while Miuccia Prada sought inspiration from the 1950s for Miu Miu.

From the last ready-to-wear collection by the Chanel in-house design studio (before Matthieu Blazy‘s debut in October) to Harris Reed now onto his fifth season as the creative force behind Nina Ricci – scroll further for part two of theFashionSpot’s highlights of Paris Fashion Week Fall 2025:

We’re now on day six of Paris Fashion Week Fall 2025, and The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s jam-packed schedule granted us the Alexander McQueen Fall 2025 collection from Seán McGirr. The Dublin-born designer is now onto his fourth collection as the creative force behind the London-based fashion house, having succeeded the long-serving Sarah Burton in October 2023. This season, at the Galerie de Géologie et de Minéralogie, McGirr explored the relationship of English urban life and the great outdoors. Sweeping floor-length dresses featured opulent flowing ruffles. Regal trench coats and lace stockings were adorned with floral embroidery, crystal-embellished masks were on full display, and the iconic McQueen skull print making a comeback. A selection of looks were finished off with hats designed by Philip Treacy.

McQueen Fall 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“They must have spent most of the budget on that weird, unnecessary portal thing.” [youthinasia]

“I forgot about the existence of this brand. This man does not understand the essence of McQueen but also fails to bring something worthwhile. His tailoring always looks cheap. Why are we dragging scarves on the floor?” [reese06]

“Another tragedy at Kering.” [Grets]

“The first look gave me some hope but it quickly went downhill. This guy has no vision and his Tumblr sensibility doesn’t help.” [Avonlea]

“I mean it’s fine but I don’t give a single flying f*ck about that brand. Menswear is a nonevent and womenswear is a variation on archive.” [Olaffo]

“This collection isn’t as offensive as his debut. In fact, it’s actually okay-ish, but the struggle with tailoring is still obvious, and the rest of the show feels like a bunch of costumes, really” [perhydrol]

“I was expecting something very bad but I enjoyed it for what it is. I think he is becoming more and more confident at the helm of McQueen so hopefully for him, Kering will let him one or two seasons more.” [GivenchyAddict]

On February 4, Anya Taylor-Joy strutted the streets of New York City in a massive fur coat, and she truly looked like a diva in the photos. The actor took to East Village in nothing but a faux fur jacket, leaving her toned legs on display as she braved the chilly weather. Taylor-Joy made a major fashion statement in NYC, pairing her coat with beige heels. The look was monochromatic from head to toe, with the jacket and heels beautifully complementing her light hair.

Anya Taylor-Joy puts on a leggy display in McQueen’s faux fur coat

Anya Taylor-Joy knows how to make a statement, even if she is simply out and about in the big city. She recently took to the streets of NYC in a fluffy faux fur coat. According to L’Officiel, the cozy piece was an Alexander McQueen. It was from the Fall-Winter 2024 collection, featuring designs from Seán McGirr. Notably, it was McGirr’s debut collection with the brand.

The fur coat was perfectly oversized, with the actor opting to go with a no-pants look. She looked glamorous in the fluffy piece, lending a hint of mob wife aesthetic to her street style. In the photos, Anya Taylor-Joy didn’t seem to have anything on under the coat. While many opt for stockings to keep their legs warm, the star went with a bare-legged look.

She paired her statement-worthy coat with a pair of pointed-toe heels in beige. As per Footwear News, her choice of heels was from Christian Louboutin. This isn’t the first time Taylor-Joy has opted for a pair of Louboutin, as one of her recent looks in Paris also consisted of a black pair from the French brand.

The actor completed her wintery fit with a simple hair and makeup look. She had her strikingly blonde hair parted down the middle. However, she incorporated a tiny braid that beautifully framed her face into her hairstyle to add some texture. For makeup, she went with a hint of blush and a rose pink lip shade that looked au naturel yet chic.

Nina Garcia sure knows how to pick em’, when it comes to selecting the cover subjects of American ELLE. Names like Penélope Cruz, Vittoria Ceretti, Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa, Anya Taylor-Joy, HoYeon Jung, Lisa (of Blackpink), Tyla, and Kylie Jenner graced the title throughout 2024. Following a whole plethora of A-list talent fronting the magazine’s year-end ‘Women in Hollywood‘ issue, Garcia welcomes Pamela Anderson as an ELLE cover star for a special digital cover for February 2025. The photographer Adrienne Raquel was commissioned to profile the Canadian-American actress, who morphs into the ultimate office siren. Pamela dials up the glamour, striking a pose in a look from Alexander McQueen and killer Christian Louboutin pumps (as selected for the occasion by stylist Jan-Michael Quammie).

“If this were an actual physical cover, I’d get a copy immediately. So much is said about her not wearing makeup and blah blah blah but I love that she committed to this shoot and didn’t insist on protecting/adhering to what’s helped her regain attention,” voiced KoV.

“I LOVE IT!” forum member kokobombon exclaimed.

“Obsessed! This deserved to be more than a digital cover,” noted marsnoop2.

Sharing the same sentiments was forum member Xone. “Love it! C’mon Nina.. give Pamela Anderson a real cover!” they declared.

“Should’ve been a real cover,” echoed Hchloe.

MModa shared: “Pamela Anderson looks beautiful. I love her hairstyle, makeup, and styling. The outcome is playful and fresh!”

Linda Gumus Gerritsen continues to mean business at Vogue Netherlands. Subsequent to replacing Yeliz Cice as editor-in-chief, the magazine’s former fashion director has since welcomed the likes of Malgosia Bela and Ugbad Abdi as cover stars. To kick-start 2025, Jill Kortleve is once again a Vogue Netherlands cover girl with the unveiling of the January/February edition. The Dutch beauty, who first burst onto the modeling scene circa 2019, is celebrated across a twosome of terrific covers. Kortleve is placed before the lens of photographer Walter Pierre for the occasion, complete with styling from Ali Javaid. In the first cover (below), Jill bundles up in a look from the debut Alexander McQueen collection of Seán McGirr and poses in a monochromatic Lacoste look for cover two (after the jump).

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Weird, both of them,” immediately critiqued oaklee91.

“No, and no,” VogueDisciple93 chimed in.

“Jill Kortleve is trying so hard to look fierce, but failed miserably. Take any amateur girl in the streets and she’ll do better. At least the second cover is acceptable,” voiced svpernova.

Xone wasn’t buying it either, commenting: “Nothing works here. The idea of the first cover is OK but Jill Kortleve ruined it. No talent here!”

Yet not everyone was disappointed. “I like the first cover,” reasoned WAVES.

“I like the first cover a whole lot, and would even go as far as to say this is some of Jill Kortleve’s best work. She looks fantastic, I love the stare, the beauty styling, and the sense of presence with the first cover. That voluminous Alexander McQueen has photographed wonderfully,” shared vogue28.

The year 2024 has been pretty good for Nina Garcia. After all, the ELLE editor-in-chief (who has served as the magazine’s figurehead since 2017) has welcomed a whole plethora of buzz-worthy talents as cover stars. Names like Penélope Cruz, Vittoria Ceretti, Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa, Anya Taylor-Joy, HoYeon Jung, Lisa (of Blackpink), Tyla, and Kylie Jenner have fronted the magazine throughout 2024 alone. Garcia (unsurprisingly) closes out the year with the annual ELLE ‘Women in Hollywood’ issue for December 2024/January 2025. In the process, Demi Moore, Danielle Deadwyler, Mikey Madison, Selena Gomez, Karla Sofía Gascón, Zoe Saldaña, Cynthia Erivo, Saoirse Ronan, Julianne Moore, and Tilda Swinton cover the ELLE year-end offering. Photographers Collier Schorr, Cass Bird, Felix Cooper, and Micaiah Carter were called upon to capture the women, each decked out in pieces from the likes of Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Loewe, McQueen, Louis Vuitton, and Prada.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“They are all quite nice,” immediately approved mikel.

“They are OK. Most of them look lazy. Nothing good. This year was a strange year for US ELLE,” forum member Xone chimed in.

“All of them look nice. I like Julianne Moore/Tilda, Cynthia Erivo and Saoirse Ronan,” shared ivano.

“Great lineup. Danielle Deadwyler has the best cover,” declared Hchloe.

Blueorchid commented: “They’re all pleasant and non-offensive. Not great, but it’s fine.”

“When you have Demi Moore, Demi Moore is all you need. I’m able to admire the styling on the Cynthia Erivo cover but my most fave is Demi’s, without a shadow of a doubt. My biggest pet peeve with a multi-cover selection is when there is zero cohesion, and there’s none here,” voiced vogue28.

“All the cover stories look way too pedestrian for my taste,” MModa critiqued.

To say Chioma Nnadi hasn’t been cutting it as Head of Editorial Content at British Vogue would be an understatement. An understatement of rather epic proportions. Despite pulling in big-name cover stars like FKA Twigs, Zendaya, Kylie Jenner, and Florence Pugh, the magazine’s front covers over recent months have been… somewhat questionable. Nnadi, now with a total of nine issues under her belt, tapped SZA as a British Vogue cover star for December 2024. The American singer and songwriter poses before the lens of photographer Nadine Ijewere, as the magazine’s final cover star of 2024. Throughout the cover shoot, SZA was styled by Julia Sarr-Jamois, SZA bundles up in a lime green knit from Seán McGir’s debut Alexander McQueen Fall 2024 collection.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“The photography is nothing special. Very generic. It looks like a catalog shot from an email newsletter,” GivenchyHomme critiqued upon checking out the cover.

“Why does this edition have to be sooo bland,” blueorchid chimed in.

“Another month, another cover, another prominent display of Chioma Nnadi sucking the life out of British Vogue. This is the best the team could produce for readers over the holiday season? guess the Alexander McQueen piece is Grinch green? I feel so majorly underwhelmed by this,” voiced vogue28.

Also left disappointed was forum member upNorth. “Why does no one try? Who is asking for this non-event?” they asked.

“Why is this so muted? That grey background has no business being in an end-of-year cover,” noted Drusilla.

“The cover gives nothing especially for a December issue, but I am just so happy that SZA finally gets a Vogue cover,” confessed crmsn.

That’s a complete wrap on Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025, with Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant of Coperni taking the fashion pack to Disneyland Paris to “magically” round out the fashion festivities. Since September 23, a total of 66 physical runway shows and 40 presentations have taken place within the City of the Light over the past week, making the Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025 season a one for the books.

Report: Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025

Mid-afternoon on Friday September 27, with a wildly star-studded cast including Gigi Hadid, Hedi Klum, Marcia Cross and Anok Yai (as the bride), Guram Gvasalia staged his latest Vetements collection, inspired by the Paris underground. Against a romantic and candle-lit backdrop of the Château de Bagatelle, Victoria Beckham presented her Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025 offering of sculptural breast plates, mixed print dresses, and cut-out tailoring.

Andreas Kronthaler brought punk to Paris for his Vivienne Westwood showcase while Nadège Vanhee-Cybulsk served up chocolate leathers that looked like butter at Hermès (and not even a PETA protester could distract from superb craftsmanship). Come nightfall on Saturday September 28, it was time to bare witness to the sophomore collection of Seán McGirr as McQueen creative director. Inside Paris’ École des Beaux-Arts, the Irish designer paid homage to the Alexander McQueen Fall 1994 collection, razor-sharp tailored suiting and Celtic influences.

Come Sunday, all eyes were on Alessandro Michele as he staged his debut runway show as Valentino creative director. Models paraded Michele’s designs of sumptuous fabrics, cascading ruffles, sequins, and bow detailing around a draped set and walked on a floor of broken mirrors. Closing out the weekend, Isabel Marant confirmed that the western trend is set to regain its momentum for Spring 2025, with a collection boasting fringe jackets, studded bags, and suede pieces.

Monday commenced with an open-air show from Stella McCartney at Paris Fashion Week. Oversized bags, suits, round form plush jackets in pastel colors, and splashes of red were consistent throughout McCartney’s lineup. Gabriela Hearst ditched New York for Paris this season, showcasing her creations on the Left Bank. Eclectic knits, sheer sheaths, and crinkled gold separates took the runway, next to sophisticated tailoring and some Western influence. To a remix of Gimmie More by Britney Spears, models at Balenciaga walked out onto an elevated catwalk, inspired by a dining table. Balenciaga creative director Demna, experimented with hoodies and denim, transforming jeans into gaiters and showing oversized sweatshirts with slogans that read “Fashion Designer”.

On the final day of Paris Fashion Week, Chanel (still without a creative director) ventured back to the Grand Palais. The Chanel Fashion Creation Studio team, gave us charming 1920s-style collars and classic tweeds that honored the brand’s rich heritage, while ostrich feather trim and delicate sheer looks floated past guests towards the end of the show. The finale was topped off with a live performance from Riley Keough, who gave attendees a rendition of Prince’s When Doves Cry, sat perched on a swing inside a vast white birdcage. At Miu Miu, Miuccia Prada doubled down on the no-pants look for another season. Nicolas Ghesquière honored the rich Louis Vuitton heritage with a runway inspired by the French fashion house’s signature trunks. Ghesquière’s lineup featured open peplum shirts, flowing silk dresses, oversized shoulder pads, and patterns by artist Laurent Grasso.

“Go off and show off, Nicolas! Let the girls know you can challenge taste without it being ugly. It looked expensive, it didn’t look tortured. Bravo!” [reese06]

“I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED IT. The soundtrack, the trunks as a runway. I loved the footwear, the bags, and the accessories. Ghesquiere is hitting his stride, I am so excited. I loved this collection, and I usually feel a way about what he’s been doing but I love, love, loved all of it.” [jeremydante]

“1000x better than Seán McGirr’s debut.” [justpassingthrough]

“This is light years away from that heinous debut. It’s unexpectedly good. It’s not on Lee’s (or even Burton’s) level, but it’s was a good collection and a good show. He should’ve dumped the heavy platforms in favour of sleek stilettos and “floating” heels, but one thing at a time.” [LadyJunon]

“For me this show was a massive improvement from his debut, massive. We can all agree that we will never get McQueen in the dark version of yore, that’s a thing of the past. But I thought that McGirr this time got his s**t together and delivered a much more focused and commercially appealing collection.” [bc collector]

“Why do we exist in a world where this vision of Balenciaga is tolerated…especially by luxury consumers?” [GERGIN]

“So pedestrian and basic. Remember when Balenciaga was synonymous with chic, fashion-forward clothes?” [tourbillions]

HIT | Yohji Yamamoto

Here's Part Two of the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025

“Truly stunning. Seriously can’t stop looking at this collection. This is how you do real punk, kids, unlike any Hedi Slimane or Marc Jacobs take on it. I feel it like a contemporary, more sculptural Vivienne Westwood.” [philophile]

“I can’t imagine the Paris fashion week without Yohji and the lovely Hôtel De Ville. Hands down one of the best collections this season!” [Kanzai]

“Truly gorgeous. The master can do no wrong even if it’s just a little expansion of his usual vocabulary. In the sea of pretentious fashion, Yohji remains true to himself. A feast to be savored!” [dancv]

MISS | Pierre Cardin

“That looks like an Emily in Paris collection. Dreadful, abysmal… a caricature.” [thiago]

“This is very bad.” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]

“A collection of clown costumes by a once great designer.” [avonlea002]

“She’s been doing these ugly sacks/blobs for 10 years or more. It’s not gonna happen, Rei.” [Alquimista]

MISS | Carven

“Not sure what happened here. I loved Louise Trotter’s first two collections for Carven. Everything here just looks off.” [tatouejeremie]

“I only see complacency here. Paris has been a disappointment. Nobody is trying anything new.” [Alquimista]

“I love what she’s done with Carven, but this collection feels a bit too complicated. Some of the silhouettes are too sloppy. It would have been a lot better if she showed more knitwear, some structured pieces.” [Kennnnn]

HIT | Isabel Marant

“It might be her best collection!” [prylvi]

“Isabel Marant really has a POV and makes the girls look great. Why can’t Pucci or Cavalli make shapes like that? So simple and easy.” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]

“Easy clothes for women to wear. I’ll take this over a lot of other collections this season.” [donyan]

“It’s very Bouchra Jarrar, which makes me love it!! [IsabelMarantBoy]

“It’s really quite a captivating collection. Love the way some of the fabrics sit on the models, almost like armor.” [GoldenPetals]

“Love almost everything here! It’s hard for me to translate Sacai sometimes beyond the deconstructions, but this time they nailed it for me.” [Ihhbl]

HIT | Akris

“Finally a tasteful and elegant collection is such a boring and underwhelming season. I usually like Albert Kriemler’s work and he remains underrated. One of the only collections to get frills right and the orange section is quite sublime as well.” [Fiercification]

“I like this. So sleek and easy on the eyes. There’s just something that seems so pure about this.” [Cocteau Stone]

“I like this so much! A relief to see this. A nice breeze through this collection – just the right timbre with pleasant moments. It’s so light. Bravo.” [TerraVera]

MISS | Duran Lantink

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“This is flat as a pancake. What’s the content? Feels like a New York brand trying its hand at being avant-garde.” [Norden]

“It was interesting for a milli-second…” [90sfan]

“I want to know who is backing this brand? All the campaigns, shows every season, that kind of casting and all that press meanwhile you have 4-5 pieces on a rack in Dover Street which doesn’t seem to sell.” [NoInvite]

MISS | Stella McCartney

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“This is so messy.” [youthinasia]

“It’s a bit all over the place indeed. I can’t see any cohesion in this collection. Oversized suits, chiffon dresses, leather dresses, t dresses, ripped pants/tops/dresses, lace, wool balloon tops, sequin, pearls. cut-ouPhew, that’s a lot to take.” [Valentine27]

“It’s like the Ann Taylor and Hervé Léger shows got mixed together.” [Irere]

MISS | Gabriela Hearst

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“She should stay in NYFW where this collection belongs.” [JohannesL]

“”As a Uruguayan designer, Gabriela Hearst would have the ideal opportunity to put the traditional fabrics of her country and Latin America on the international map, but this set of things is a mix of meaningless things that, instead of making you raise an eyebrow, invites you to close both eyes.” [IndigoHomme]

MISS | Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Sad to say… I just don’t feel Vivienne anymore.” [bennyboy]

“Where’s the ‘punk’? How can you be anti-mainstream, when you create something so easily digestible? With a brand like VW I don’t even care if it’s try-hard or edgy or obnoxious, because that’s the entire point!” [Machinegumm]

“It was cleaner, more commercial. It lacked that defiant punk energy that Vivienne did so well.
Even the runway soundtrack was odd, it wasn’t Vivienne Westwood at all.” [jeremydante]

HIT | Hermès

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Hermès womenswear is one of a kind! Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski is doing an exceptional job! Great collection. Love the see-through knit. Stunning. Nobody does timeless luxury like them.” [imjustken]

“I really enjoyed the show! Loved the set and also the dynamic walks. I find the collection very appealing.” [Valentine27]

“This is absolutely sufficient for Hermès. It’s the quiet conservative high-quality luxury that its clientele is looking for. Hermès is the LAST fashion house that needs to be ‘fashion-forward’. The brand is already so mature and so well SET, it already has a reliable surefire formula – both commercially and creatively.” [GoldenPetals]

MISS | Vetements

“Dreadful.” [GoldenPetals]

“I couldn’t care less about the clothes. Pure trash.” [thiago]

“Wants to be Balenciaga, it ends being Philipp Plein.” [carla56]

MISS | Victoria Beckham

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“She’s desperately trying to be someone she clearly isn’t.” [helmutnotdead]

“Why is Victoria Beckham always trying so hard to be someone she isn’t? She should do a sexier, more glamorous take on minimalism and stop with the artsy nonsense.” [avonlea002]

“She could donate the money to the poor, instead of doing poor fashion every season.” [90sfan]

HIT | Junya Watanabe

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“I love this! Saw the first look and knew this was going to be a hit. Junya rarely disappoints.” [Machinegumm]

“The amount of ideas here is on a whole other level, very impressive.” [tatouejeremie]

“Absolute gold! zeroWhat a relief after the barrage-effortfort collections from all the other brands!” [amak]

MISS | Ann Demeulemeester

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Another brand that makes no sense without its founder.” [avonlea002]

“Ann D mixed with ‘dumpster diving homeless people’. Stefano Gallici better correct course for next season, because this is NOT the direction this brand should go.” [Machinegumm]

“Ann was never ratty. Bohemian, yes, in the likes of Baudelaire perhaps but not ratty.” [Not Plain Jane]

HIT | Ludovic de Saint Sernin

“His work is starting to grow on me. It’s well constructed, which isn’t something most of his peers can say.” [LadyJunon]

“Not even going to lie and probably will be put into tFS timeout, but … I am into it!” [Savatore]

“Their shows have been so hyped and are always so… whelming? IDK.” [thenewclassic]

“So Kylie was obviously just there to make the show go viral?” [nationalsalt]

If you thought the first portion of Paris Fashion Week was something to behold for the Spring 2025 season, the second half of the 9-day event granted us just as many fantastical fashion moments. McQueen’s Seán McGirr staged his sophomore collection as creative director, presenting razor-sharp tailored suiting and references to the Alexander McQueen Fall 1994 collection. Alessandro Michele made his long-awaited debut as Valentino creative director, staging his first runway at the helm of the luxury Italian fashion house. Sumptuous fabrics, cascading ruffles, sequins, and bow detailing were on full display, as models walked across a runway of broken glass. Chanel staged its first prêt-à-porter show without an official creative director while Nicolas Ghesquière‘s Louis Vuitton showcase paid homage to the rich heritage of the French fashion house.

See, we told you the second half of PFW would save the best moments for last. Scroll further for part two of theFashionSpot’s highlights from Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025:

One of the most anticipated shows on the Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025 schedule was presented tonight. Seán McGirr unveiled his sophomore collection as McQueen creative director, closing out day six of the 9-day event. The Dublin-born Irish designer became the British luxury fashion house’s creative director in 2023, as successor to Sarah Burton. Tonight, for his second mainline McQueen offering, McGirr staged his showcase within Paris’ École des Beaux-Arts complete with a front row including Salma Hayek, Cardi B, and muse of the late Alexander McQueen Daphne Guinness. Models emerged from an installation by Tom Scutt, as McGirr sent intricately beaded and feathered gowns down the runway, in addition to razor-sharp tailored suiting and references to the Alexander McQueen Fall 1994 collection.

McQueen Spring 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Much better than the debut, it’s clear the suits bashed him after the flop of the first season.” [FashionPower]

“Okay, he’s finding his momentum slowly…” [fenty]

“I think McQueen is one of the hardest brands to design for because its identity isn’t rooted in a ‘look’, but an attitude. It makes it near impossible to replicate. This is a decent attempt. The collection itself is fine. Beautiful dresses, strongly tailored pieces, and doesn’t overuse house codes. But it’s missing that brazenness and dynamism that really defines the McQueen legacy.” [GoldenPetals]

“The bad tailoring threw it off especially since its part of the brand DNA. Irrespective of the theatrics and extreme styles, McQueen is always perfectly tailored. That said I didn’t mind the collection, looks like someone that will eventually grow into his own whether at this brand or elsewhere.” [Urban Stylin]
