You’re no doubt fully aware of the fact that since joining Saint Laurent as creative director in April 2016, Anthony Vaccarello has called upon a very select few to photograph the brand’s advertising campaigns. Vaccarello has essentially had David Sims, Juergen Teller, and Gray Sorrenti on speed dial from the get-go. The Belgian called upon Glen Luchford for the fabled French fashion house’s Winter 2023 campaign, and it’s a repeat performance for Summer 2025. Models Ella McCutcheon, Anok Yai, Penelope Ternes, and Justino Gonzalez make up the cast for the occasion. Throughout the luxurious campaign imagery, the models of the moment dial up the glamour and lounge around a setting of lush and opulent furnishings.

“The clothes photographed really well. This looks painterly without being a painting- can’t go wrong with Glen Luchford,” applauded Melancholybaby.

“Wow, Glen really did this justice! Bravo,” Faith Akiyama echoed.

“Oh, this looks fantastic,” heralded forum member lelaid.

Salvatore commented: “Oh hell yes! The collection was very repetitive, but this ad is selling it to me. Glen is becoming one of my most favorite photographers!”

“It’s very beautiful. The Guy Bourdin thing was already done but the colors and the mood are great,” Lola701 approved.

“Fashion is alive!” declared MaraPiovani.

“Those colors are so lush, vibrant, juicy, and downright gorgeous! The lighting is fantastic, and I love the shadows. The cast look so fierce and glamorous here, I’m loving it,” voiced vogue28.

Debora Zakuto at Vogue Turkey sure knows a thing or two about securing the crème de la crème from the world of modeling for the magazine’s front covers. Lately, covers starring the likes Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Grace Elizabeth, Beauïse Genç, Lila Moss, Stella Maxwell, Hana Jirickova, Anja Rubik, and Quinn Mora have had our undivided attention. Up next on the cover of Vogue Turkey is Emily Ratajkowski. Zakuto secures the American model and actress as Turkish Vogue’s April 2025 cover star, who poses for photographer Cass Bird. Emily suits up in a look from Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent Spring 2025 collection, as selected for the occasion by cover shoot stylist Sandy Armeni.

“It is quite boring but I do like her intriguing hand gesture,” noted JohannesL upon checking out the cover.

“I have a soft spot for Emily Ratajkowski! She looks good here,” approved BalkaniStaCouture.

“I think it’s excellent,” enthused forum member jeremydante. “Love the Saint Laurent menswear-inspired suiting on women!”

Vogue28 confessed: “Never been a fan of Cass Bird but I’ve never minded Emily Ratajkowski, and I happen to like this. I like the grey backdrop, the Saint Laurent suit, and the hand placement. Not groundbreaking in terms of imagery but it’s by no means the worst Vogue cover I’ve come across this month.”

Yet not everyone was so forthcoming. “Well… she tried. Points for trying,” noted oaklee91.

Anthony Vaccarello sure knows how to generate buzz with his advertising campaigns for Saint Laurent, and tends to favor a very select few to capture his vision for the fabled French fashion house. Since taking up the mantle as creative director in 2016, Vaccarello has leaned upon the likes of David Sims, Juergen Teller, and Gray Sorrenti. This season, however, the Belgian designer commissioned renowned Italian artist Francesco Clemente for the Saint Laurent Summer 2025 campaign offering. “I first discovered Clemente’s work in the 1990s. I could perfectly imagine my collection being portrayed by his poetic use of colors,” said Anthony Vaccarello upon the release of the campaign. Clemente created a selection of artwork of a handful of Vaccarello muses (including Zoë Kravitz, Ajus Samuel, Isabella Ferrari, and Penelope Ternes).

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” exclaimed marsnoop2.

“The idea is great and I get what they were going for, but I am not liking the execution,” Salvatore chimed in.

Lola701 noted: “If the paintings were juxtaposed with pictures, I think the campaign would have been great!”

“Too artsy,” critiqued matheus_s.

“I would say yes if it was made by a fashion illustrator such as Antonio Lopez who truly loved fashion. This… is pure trolling,” slated GivenchyAddict.

Yet not everyone was left so disinterested. “Kudos to him for doing something different, even if it is weird. At least he’s willing to evolve!” defended Frederic01.

“Brave. I like it,” approved Kite.

Harper’s Bazaar Spain is one of those fashion titles that is most definitely on our must-buy list whenever we visit our local newsstand. Can you blame us? Covers featuring everyone from Cate Blanchett to Aitana and Sydney Sweeney to Jerry Hall have wowed us to no end over recent months. The latest accomplishment of Inma Jimenez Mateos is Gal Gadot, who becomes a Harper’s Bazaar Spain cover girl for March 2025. Across a duo of covers, the Israeli actress poses for photographer David Roemer. In cover one (below), the star of Disney’s Snow White strikes a pose in a look from Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello. Cover shoot stylist Sandy Armeni then selected a two-piece look from the Fall 2024 collection of Marc Jacobs for cover two.

“…well, it exists. I prefer the first cover, because somehow the red lip on the second throws off the proportions of her gorgeous face,” commented fauxfashion.

Also a fan of cover one was kokobombon. “I love the first cover… styling, expression, pose,” they admired.

“I sort of like the Saint Laurent cover. Shouldn’t have been slicked-back flat hair, though. I’m not sure I would have even recognized it was Gal Gadot on the Marc Jacobs cover,” noted KoV.

Gal Gadot looks awkward and uncomfortable on the two covers. Gal is beautiful, and her US Vogue cover story from May 2020 is proof!” MModa exclaimed.

The relaunch of Harper’s Bazaar France has perhaps been one of the best relaunches in recent memory. Under the tutelage of Olivier Lalanne, the likes of Imaan Hammam, Vanessa Paradis, Catherine Deneuve, Gigi Hadid, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and Laetitia Casta (to name just a select few) have become cover stars. This month, Lalanne shares the global Rihanna x Bazaar cover shoot – in addition to welcoming Lulu Tenney and Anja Rubik as Harper’s Bazaar France cover girls. Johnny Dufort was called upon to capture Lulu Tenney, who, styled by Suzanne Koller rocks a look from Miu Miu. Via the lens of Robin Galiegue, Anja Rubik poses on the March 2025 digital cover dressed by Emmanuelle Alt in Saint Laurent.

“In love with Anja Rubik! Easily her best out of the many recent jobs she did! This is turning out to be a pretty good issue,” raved aracic.

Sharing the same level of enthusiasm was WAVES. “Anja’s editorial is one of the best fashion editorials I’ve seen in years! Perfect studio shots and every single image works. I love how despite being so clinical there’s so much fashion! It’s so good to see her like this!” they exclaimed.

“There’s no angle she can’t handle. Lulu Tenney is lowkey becoming the most modelesque model of her generation. Saying something like this might have sound redundant a decade ago, but these days is a necessary affirmation,” enthused Legolas.

Radhika Jones continues to demonstrate some serious pull in selecting cover stars for Vanity Fair. Zendaya, Nicole Kidman, Zoe Saldaña, and a host of others graced the title’s recent Hollywood edition while Millie Bobby Brown made an appearance on the March 2025 issue (and won us over completely). Up next on the cover of Vanity Fair for April 2025 is Gwyneth Paltrow. The American actress and businesswoman is certainly no stranger to the Condé Nast-owned publication, and last appeared on the cover in 2004. This time around, Paltrow poses for photographer Ned Rogers in the sultry(?) cover image. Dressed by stylist George Cortina, the Goop founder gazes down Rogers’ lens wearing a look from Anthony Vaccarello’s Spring 2025 Saint Laurent collection (to which Paltrow stars in the accompanying campaign).

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“How kind of them to use her face from 15 years ago for the cover,” pointed out Avonlea.

“She looks like one of those women from the Housewives franchise,” woemwoem chimed in.

“They made her look like a madam at a brothel,” shrieked forum member oaklee91.

Also unimpressed was vogue28. “It could’ve been a fantastic cover but Gwyneth’s face is what runs this into the ground, IMO. The facial expression is all sorts of awful. Paltrow looks miserable, unbothered, and half-asleep. Such an unfortunate image for a cover,” he voiced.

“I love the rich colors but everything else, not so much,” kokobombon commented.

“I mean, can’t deny it, she looks amazing,” defended honeycombchild.

“Beautiful, I love this opulence,” enthused jeje10.

That’s a complete wrap on Paris Fashion Week, with the 9-day fashion extravaganza coming to one almighty close last night following a megawatt presentation from Anthony Vaccarello at Saint Laurent. Vaccarello was tasked with closing out The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s schedule and amped up the drama with a “fantastically 80s” collection.

Earlier in the week, the second portion of Paris Fashion Week served up the Fall 2025 collection of Victoria Beckham, who presented a collection that focused on form-fitting dresses and strong tailoring. This season, the Hermès woman got tougher while Elie Saab was all about après-ski glamour. Statement fur was seen on coats, boots, headpieces, and bags. At the Galerie de Géologie et de Minéralogie, Seán McGirr explored the relationship of English urban life and the great outdoors for McQueen.

Now onto his fifth Valentino collection, Alessandro Michele insisted his models strut a red-tiled runway, decked out in extravagant gowns, embellished suits and lace headpieces. At Balenciaga, Demna served up everything from floor-length hoodies and officecore looks to bathrobes and sportswear-inspired looks. Nicolas Ghesquière once again tapped into the traveling spirit of Louis Vuitton while Miuccia Prada sought inspiration from the 1950s for Miu Miu.

From the last ready-to-wear collection by the Chanel in-house design studio (before Matthieu Blazy‘s debut in October) to Harris Reed now onto his fifth season as the creative force behind Nina Ricci – scroll further for part two of theFashionSpot’s highlights of Paris Fashion Week Fall 2025:

The final night of Paris Fashion Week granted us the unveiling of the Saint Laurent Fall 2025 collection. Anthony Vaccarello closed out PFW (for the first time) the only way he knows how – with a star-studded fashion extravaganza. Stars like Kate Moss, Catherine Deneuve, and Zoë Kravitz were just some of the A-list talent scattered along the front row. More was undoubtedly more, with bold colors and volumes dominating the Saint Laurent runway this season. Vaccarello, who has served as creative director since 2016, sought inspiration from Monsieur Saint Laurent’s work from the 80s, embracing his use of color and sculpted shoulder silhouette. To top it off? Bella Hadid staged another runway comeback for Vaccarello, helping the Belgian designer close out PFW with one almighty bang!

Saint Laurent Fall 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Is he leaving ? The soundtrack definitely indicated that, unless I am reading into it too much.” [Salvatore]

“I was getting the same vibe. Hope that’s not the case though, despite its glaring flaws, Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent has been a favorite of mine. I hope that he at least makes it to the 10-year-milestone.” [LadyJunon]

“That was a sad show and a boring collection. Three silhouettes repeated a million times in different colors.” [Avonlea]

“Vaccarello’s collections are like when you have stretch out your essay as much as you can to hit the word count. It’s literally just a handful of looks reproduced in various colors. And the looks are always something plucked from the archives. He’s the laziest designer out there.” [Marc10]

“What a snoozefest. If anything, I think there is a talent in how Vaccarello can somehow suck the life out of everything.” [crisistunity]

“Absolutely stunning. The music made me really emotional all of a sudden for some reason.” [proseccotabis]

“Those color combinations, volumes and proportions at the start of the collection are FABULOUS. So bold, graphic, rich, and oh so fantastically 80s. Admittedly, however, I am not a fan of those dresses toward the end of the collection. They’re awful and feel out of place – like an afterthought.” [vogue28]

“I can see big-volume gowns are not his forte, because they look weird in motions by the way they bounce, it’s just seem off. Good color palette, I guess.” [THD96]

You might not need reminding that here at theFashionSpot, we’re huge stans of ELLE France. Last year, the French fashion weekly enthralled us to no end, all thanks to covers starring the likes of Toni Garrn, Deva Cassell, Luna Bijl, Rebecca Leigh Longendyke, Emily Ratajkowski, Penélope Cruz, Mathilde Brandi, and Eva Herzigova. The magazine’s highly-anticipated ‘Spécial Mode’ issue for the Spring 2025 season is here, with Véronique Philipponnat welcoming back Anja Rubik as an ELLE France cover girl. Across a twosome of covers, the Polish model poses for photographer Cass Bird, three years after she was last on the cover. The team ventured out into The Agafay Desert, Morocco for the lengthy cover shoot, complete with Geraldine Saglio on styling duties. In the two cover photographs, Rubik dons looks from Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent.

Read below the reactions on theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Anja Rubik needs to retire. She’s become such a joyless model,” immediately critiqued blueorchid.

“Always the same tired face, hairstyle and minimal makeup. These industry veterans doing the bare minimum annoy me even more than the unskilled newcomers who at least are trying. I agree that she should retire or take a break,” echoed Avonlea in agreement.

“It is not even her first ‘Spécial Mode’ cover. Anja Rubik already did it in 2022. Couldn’t they book someone else?” asked MagFan.

“I got excited reading the thread title, but was letdown upon seeing the cover. Not a fan of the pose or Anja’s expression. The second cover is OK, albeit forgettable,” voiced Valentine27.

“I prefer the full body cover. In the first cover, the facial expression is off,” noted forum member Xone.

Aracic commented: “That’s disappointing. Could’ve been so glamorous!”
