Today, Giorgio Armani was tasked with closing out the Fall 2025 season of Milan Fashion Week. Last season, for Spring 2025, the legendary Italian designer ventured to New York and made a triumphant return to Milan to present his Giorgio Armani Fall 2025 collection. The undisputed king of Italian fashion further displayed his vision of elegance and sophistication, back where he belongs on the final slot of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana’s calendar. Sig. Armani sent an assortment of streamlined silhouettes in sumptuous and opulent fabrics down the runway. Embellished trousers, gossamer frocks, and delicate knits (mostly in an earth-toned color palette) were showcased by Armani’s legion of impeccably-dressed models.

Giorgio Armani Fall 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“i wanna be in the same circle as the Giorgio Armani woman. She seems so classy and so confident.” [tourbillions]

“I love the RESPECT he has for his clients. It is visible in his designs.” [Alquimista]

“What I love about Giorgio Armani (and Valentino the designer) is that the women and men are always dignified and respected. There’s nothing restrictive, clownish, or cartoonish about the propositions. It’s just elegant, classy, respectable and wearable pieces that you can either take it or leave it. I love that unwavering conviction and confidence.” [Salvatore]

“Beautiful as usual, gorgeous models. Why don’t other designers use these kind of models with glam makeup? After Karl Lagerfeld, Armani is really one of the last master designers left. The clothes in fact remind me of Karl’s Chanel/Fendi in the mid 80s.” [disco54]

“Always an absolute highlight of Milan Fashion Week for me, and this season is no exception. What an absolute master! The level of sophistication, elegance, glamour and refinement of a Giorgio Armani show is truly unmatched. A truly exquisite collection, from opening to closing look. The color palette, the fabrics…” [vogue28]

The Fall 2025 season of Milan Fashion Week came to an almighty close earlier today, with Giorgio Armani rounding out the 6-day Milanese fashion extravaganza the only way he knows how – producing a dazzling display of elegance, refinement, and pure unapologetic glamour. The undisputed king of Italian fashion sent an array of exquisite looks down the runway, from sweeping chiffon to intricate embellishments – and in a chic earthy-toned color palette.

The second portion of Milan Fashion Week served up Fausto Puglisi’s Roberto Cavalli collectionen titled ‘Pompeii Future’. Puglisi’s latest was ultimately inspired by his fascination with Pompeii and Vesuvius. Donatella Versace welcomed guests (including Ice Spice to Hyunjin) to Milan’s historic Darsena tram depot, where the legendary designer continued to play with the iconic Versace house codes.

The iconic Italian design duo that is Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana presented their Fall 2025 Dolce & Gabbana collection earlier today, on the fifth day of Milan Fashion Week. The twosome brought the party to MFW this season, for a collection aptly entitled “Cool Girls”. Models (including Lulu Tenney and Amelia Gray) took to the long-stretch runway, to then venture outside and dance on the streets of Milan as a live set was performed by Victoria De Angelis. This season, the Dolce & Gabbana boys served up an assortment of glamorous party-ready looks, with maximalism coming to life through a parade of glittering dresses and lacy faux fur ensembles. Elsewhere throughout the show, models sported baggy cargo pants, leather coats, oversized jerseys, over-the-knee boots, and ripped denim.

Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“So the more grown up, sexy collections didn’t sell well? Sad to see Dolce & Gabbana come back to their youth focused bullsh*t.” [Avonlea]

“Cringe… as young people would say.” [Isami]

“When you try to do a D&G revival and you get the worst version of Dsquared2.” [IndigoHomme]

“TRULY truly awful. If this didn’t have a Dolce & Gabbana logo attached to it with huge budgets and famous people attending, it wouldn’t deserve to be a part of Milan Fashion Week. Disgraceful on all levels.” [proseccotabis]

“I HATE when the models are told to go out and dance like it’s Victoria’s Secret. It always looks cheap and awkward, unless choreographed properly or you have a cast full of extroverts. Clothes wise, I saw nothing really remarkable.” [Salvatore]

“What a letdown.” [Kanzai]

“Turned it off after look 8. A cringefest from top to bottom. The clothes are insipid. Public runways are just about the cringiest thing I’ve ever seen.” [GoldenPetals]

Day four of Milan Fashion Week and tonight, the fashion pack flocked together to witness the Versace Fall 2025 collection. Rumors have been rampant within the industry that Donatella Versace is to exit her post as creative director of the label. Despite said rumors, the show must go on, and went on without a fuss within the Italian fashion capital. Staged within Milan’s historic Darsena tram depot, Donatella welcomed everyone from Ice Spice to Hyunjin to sit front row. Models (including Loli Bahia and Alex Consani) soon emerged from backstage, sporting a collection of duvet-like ball gowns, tailored blazers, satin bustiers, mirrored sequins, razor-sharp studs, rhinestone-embellished jeans, sculptural mini dresses, and sky-high stilettos.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“So tragic that they opened with a new face. I get the Richard Avedon campaign reference from the 90s, but the quilts look so dirty and beyond retro.” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]

“Awful! [BelkaniStaCouture]

“AWFUL… Where are the sexy models? Where are the sexy clothes?” [DK92]

“Waste of time. I don’t know how to explain it but it was Versace in a way – and mostly it wasn’t. Stopped watching after a few minutes. My time wasted.” [Mrs.T]

“Versace is dead.” [marsnoop2]

“The whole show seemed like a desperate attempt to follow trends. Honestly, there’s nothing much new here. Just more of the 2000s stuff that I see Gen-Z wearing. I don’t get the puffer business.” [Blaiseybabey]

“We are far from what Versace used to be.” [fashionlov]

“Messy. Tragic. Sad.” [justpassingthrough]

Right now, we remain in the state of bliss that is Milan Fashion Week. The 6-day event has been a-go since Tuesday, February 25 and will be the gift that keeps on giving until Sunday, March 2.

The first show the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana’s schedule bestowed upon us was that of Gucci. The show marked the first following the not-so-unexpected exit of Sabato De Sarno as creative director. The in-house design team ultimately looked to the Italian fashion house’s founder Guccio Gucci, for a collection full of Mod silhouettes and 1960s references. Later in the day, the fashion crowd got their first look at Lorenzo Serafini as Alberta Ferretti creative director while Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared2 dialed up the drama (and then some) to round out day one.

Silvia Venturini Fendi commemorated 100 years of Fendi with a note-perfect showcase of Fendi’s finest on day two. Earlier in the day, Glenn Martens welcomed guests inside a vast show space setting having worked with over 7,000 international graffiti artists to decorate this season’s Diesel set. Gothic romance was the order of the day at Max Mara, with Ian Griffiths unveiling suits, coats and dresses in earth tones and plush velvet fabrics.

And that’s not it. From Emporio Armani to Prada – scroll further for part one of theFashionSpot’s highlights of Milan Fashion Week Fall 2025:

Today, on the third day of Milan Fashion Week, the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana’s schedule granted us the Prada Fall 2025 collection. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons have been co-creative directors of Prada since 2020, with the duo’s latest for the iconic Italian fashion label marking the pair’s tenth womenswear outing together. The creative twosome welcomed guests (like Hunter Schafer and Danielle Deadwyler) inside Fondazione Prada and granted showgoers playing with proportions, varying textures, and bold color ways. Signature Prada staples (including architectural coats, deconstructed shirting, and bow detailing) were reimagined, as models paraded the showspace echoing the menswear presentation from January.

Prada Fall 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“That was hideous. Everything looked ill-fitting, unflattering and stiff in all the wrong places. The color palette was drab and the prints were some of the worst in the brand’s history. Miuccia is really lost and Raf makes it even worse.” [Avonlea]

“I’m going to stop hoping things will get better for this brand. It’s sad to see the lack of concept and finesse. I’m so ready for Raf to go.” [charmedp321]

“Raf really hates women and wants them to look as ugly as possible.” [Grets]

“This is literally the worst Prada collection I have seen.” [cheapthrills]

“I loved the collection and will die on that hill.” [proseccotabis]

“First Prada collection I’ve really liked in a while. Bravo Miuccia and Raf.” [LadyJunon]

“I find this very good. It feels modern, and there is something very confident and authoritative in many of the looks. I would leave out the fur collars and scale back on the use of leather, but there are some great coats and excellent knits.” [Kennnnn]

All eyes were on the house of Fendi earlier today, as Silvia Venturini Fendi unveiled the Fall 2025 Fendi collection on day two of Milan Fashion Week. The designer stepped into the role of womenswear creative director after the exit of Kim Jones in October 2024. To date, Silvia remains the only family member working at the historic Italian fashion house, which celebrates its monumental 100th anniversary this year, and kick-started the celebrations tonight at the new Spazio Fendi. Silvia’s grandchildren opened the doors of the runway to allow models like Yasmin Le Bon, Natasha Poly, and Adriana Lima to emerge from backstage. The collection was inspired by the rich archives of the house, ultimately making for a note-perfect tribute to its centenary.

Fendi Fall 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“I haven’t felt this way about a fashion show in SO long!” [justpassingthrough]

“This is Silvia Venturini Fendi’s world and we’re just living in it. Casting, music, set – all in the right place.
Clothes: these browns, these beige, these pinks and greys and everything in between. Opulent, bourgeois, elegant, timeless. Accessories to kill and die for. Love, happy 100th anniversary!” [Olaffo]

“What a collection! I forgot that Fendi used to be a reference point for glamour! Good!” [fashionlov]

“Italian bourgeois at its finest. Brava!” [chiccestlavie]

“This is how you do fashion! All the rest can go home!” [helmutnotdead]

“Fendi does not need a new creative director. It’s right here and always has been. A proper collection for Fendi. It’s very specific in its Italian-ness and the bags are lush.” [Norden]

“SOMPTUEUX, FABULEUX! Take my money Silvia! Best show of the season so far and what a return in fine form for Fendi!” [Lola701]

“She said let me bring back the FURS, the OPULENCE, the GLAMOUR, the COIIINS back to MY house. I love her. Silvia won MFW already.” [GivenchyAddict]

The Fall 2025 season of Milan Fashion Week is off to a fine start. As part of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana’s jam-packed schedule, day one included the unveiling of the Fall 2025 Alberta Ferretti collection. Back in October, it was announced that Alberta Ferretti herself was to step down as creative director of the brand she founded in 1981. Lorenzo Serafini was appointed Ferretti’s replacement, who initially joined the group in 2014, when Ferretti handed him the design reins of the Philosophy label. The Italian designer presented his debut collection last night, for what is set to be a season full of ready-to-wear debuts. Staged at the Palazzo Donizetti, the romantic offering from Lorenzo Serafini for Alberta Ferretti boasted hand-pleated dresses, double-faced cashmere coats, and airy frocks.

“This tops anything shown in New York and London, so far.” [j02215]

“Very, very beautiful! Loved every look! Brava!” [BalkaniStaCouture]

“This is gorgeous.” [Monsieur Cristobal]

“I was a bit skeptical at first, but I’m loving this. Maybe now, after years of generic, forgettable designs, Alberta Ferretti can get its mojo back.” [bc collector]

“Nice subtle detailing on a number of looks, and much more modern than what AF did previously. Quite a lovely start.” [Kennnnn]

“OMG Yesss!!! I’m a fan, Lorenzo Serafini is so good at flou. Messy presentation though, too clumsy” [Kanzai]

“Oh no…not another collection of neutrals with blue/pink/red pop colors. That said though, I love the looks with the chiffon trousers!” [IsabelMarantBoy]

Ciao, Milano! The Fall 2025 season of Milan Fashion Week is officially a-go, with Gucci opening up the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana’s schedule earlier today. You might not need reminding that Sabato De Sarno abruptly exited his post as Gucci creative director only a few weeks ago. Today’s showcase marked the first post-De Sarno’s exit. The show must go on, however, with the in-house design team called upon to craft the Fall 2025 Gucci collection. To kick-start MFW in style, the Gucci studio unveiled a collection full of Mod details and 60s silhouettes – and nods to the Alessandro Michele and Tom Ford era. In an homage to the Italian fashion house’s founder Guccio Gucci, the collection ultimately serves as a placeholder until the powers that be at Kering HQ appoint a new creative director. Stay tuned.

Gucci Fall 2025 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“I… have no words. Jail time for Gucci.” [proseccotabis]

“The menswear is so nondescript, I am forgetting what it looked like as I am typing this. Enough with the boy models, please cast men! The womenswear is a tad better but it’s not really saying much.” [Yasouss]

“It’s a lifeless collection. Minimalism taken to the most bland realm of silent luxury. A watered-down version of what Italian brands have to offer. This isn’t fun, it’s sad.” [IndigoHomme]

“The venue is so impressive that it swallows the collection… There are some nice items but nothing feels convincing. They need a stronger vision.” [thiago]

“The vibes are wrong. The models are wrong. The total lack of sexuality is wrong.” [Alquimista]

“It’s not ugly after all, it’s just lifeless. I liked the show venue.” [fashionlov]

“Well it certainly wasn’t worse than the previous collections. Some of it was nice, but as expected it was a bit all over the place in direction. There were some hints Alessandro, a bit of Miu Miu, Bottega. The menswear in particular was insipid.” [Marc10]
