Vogue Germany May 2025 : Nadja Auermann by Scott Trindle

We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: the German edition of Vogue simply isn’t what it once was. Under the tutelage of Kerstin Weng (who has served as head of editorial content since 2021), the magazine has been extremely hit and miss (heavy on the miss, FYI). Covers over recent months starring the likes of Tilda Swinton, Emilia Schüle, Emma Corrin, Heike Makatsch, and Sandra Hüller have flopped HARD. Weng appears to be trying to make amends, however, by inviting Nadja Auermann onto the cover of Vogue Germany for May 2025. The iconic German model (once stated by the Guinness Book of Records to have the longest legs of any model in the world) appears before the lens of photographer Scott Trindle. In the stripped-back cover shot, Auermann appears makeup-free wearing a cream jacket from the Marni Spring 2025 collection.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“QUEEN! I don’t speak German, but the title should be THE BEST MODEL IN THE WORLD!” exclaimed DK92 upon checking out the cover.

“I LOVE Nadja Auermann and I’m delighted to see this!” VanillaCrush exclaimed.

Also very much a fan was vogue28. “Nadja Auermann on the cover of Vogue Germany feels like a cause for celebration! So glad the team never did anything crazy in terms of concept. Just a beautiful cover photograph of a beautiful woman with zero gimmicks,” he shared.

Not everyone, however, was feeling it. “Nadja is one my all time faves. She’s the ultimate ‘femme fatale’ model. Her kilometer-long legs, the piercing blue eyes, the icy blond bob, the razor sharp cheekbones… That’s why I don’t care for this mature woman styling. Gimme full on Helmut Newton fantasy!” wrote Marc10.

“Love Nadja but the cover is hideous. She looks tired,” commented forum member Avonlea.

Amelia Gray remains one of the most in-demand of models within the world of fashion. During the recent fashion month season, the American beauty (and daughter of Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin) swept up at a whole plethora of blue chip shows including Miu Miu, Fendi, and Michael Kors Collection. This year alone, Gray has graced the covers of Perfect, Dazed, and V Magazine. Now, for April 2025, Amelia takes to the cover of Vogue Japan. The industry fave poses for photographer Mikael Jansson in the artistic cover image, with stylist Alex Harrington selecting a look from the Marni Spring 2025 collection of Francesco Risso.

“A big NO,” declared jeje10.

“Amelia Gray is so boring,” chimed in forum member JPineapple.

WAVES commented: “I don’t mind Amelia at all. She has been working consistently on the runway. However, this is a no!”

Yet not everyone was so underwhelmed. “Beautiful. Good colors,” defended Alquimista.

“I like it! It’s a nice different cover. Not a fan of hers, but I appreciate the direction here,” voiced Ihhbl.

Perhaps you don’t need reminding that we’re massive stans of all-things D la Repubblica here at theFashionSpot. We constantly sing the praises of Emanuele Farneti, who has propelled the fashion publication to new heights since joining the ranks in 2021. Over recent months alone, covers featuring the likes of Naomi Campbell, Rianne van Rompaey, LillI Cummings, and Mariacarla Boscono have commanded our attention to no end. The Autumn/Winter 2024 edition of DStyle is here. Farneti secured Raquel Zimmermann as D la Repubblica cover star for the occasion, who poses for photographer Mark Kean. The Brazilian bombshell and fashion icon gazes down Kean’s lens in the cover image. Complete with styling from Malina Joseph Gilchrist, Raquel showcases a faux fur Marni coat and a Loro Piana handbag.

“Can’t go wrong with Raquel Zimmermann,” declared BlakstaniStaCouture.

“You just cannot go wrong with Raquel Zimmermann,” echoed vogue28. “You could never make me dislike the sight of her! What a force, what a beauty, and what a face. Absolutely loving this. The lighting from Mark Kean here is delightful, always down for these type of studio photoshoots with a strong model like Raquel.”

Xone expressed: “Love it! Love the 70s feel about it!”

Yet not everyone else was so convinced. “Raquel Zimmerman is a glamour girl. Can someone give us glamour please?” asked Lola701.

“In terms of beauty styling, Raquel has pretty much looked the same in nearly every shoot I’ve seen in the past while. It’s probably great if you’re a fan, but if you’re not as enthusiastic, it’s not giving you much reason to reconsider,” tigerrouge chimed in.

Three down, one to go and that’s a complete wrap on the Spring 2025 season of Milan Fashion Week. Officially running from September 17-23, this season of MFW most definitely has us in a chokehold here at theFashionSpot.

Report: Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025

The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana looked to Kim Jones at Fendi to open up the Milanese fashion festivities. Ahead of Fendi’s monumental 100th anniversary in 2025, the designer looked back to the Roaring Twenties. At Marni, Francesco Risso’s showcase was soundtracked by a group of piano players. The designer presented a collection focusing on ruffles, volumes and dresses reminiscent of elaborate prom dresses, celebrating his ninth year as creative director. Alberta Ferretti displayed airy fabrications enhancing the movement of the body, helping get day one of Milan Fashion Week off to a fine start.

Day two of Milan Fashion Week began with Antonio Marras, unveiling a collection inspired by the 1950s. The lineup consisted of statement looks including XL skirts and hats made of raffia, and prints of tropical landscapes and palm trees. Ombré silky separates, vintage car prints, and neutral office-ready tailoring were served up by Luke and Lucie Meier at Jil Sander while Daniel Del Core doubled down on the sheer trend and invited supermodel Naomi Campbell to close his show. Speaking of supermodels, Fausto Puglisi paid tribute to the late Roberto Cavalli with a brigade of the designer’s favorite model muses.

Inspired by the discipline of scientists and mathematicians, the sleek and sophisticated collection of Ian Griffiths of Max Mara paid homage to Alexandrian philosopher and teacher Hypatia. For spring, Prada co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons looked to gowns in vibrant hues, futuristic eyewear, patterned knits, and revived old Prada classics for footwear. At a venue surrounded by hanging clothes, Adrian Appiolaza unveiled his sophomore womenswear collection for Moschino – where the ordinary became extraordinary.

Tod’s creative director Matteo Tamburini found inspiration for spring in a journey through the Mediterranean coast. Mid-afternoon on September 20 during Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025, Sabato De Sarno exhibited his third mainline womenswear offering as Gucci creative director. Perhaps the most anticipated event on the Milan Fashion Week calendar, the designer honed in on his love for the silhouettes of the 1960s and gave them a modern twist. At Versace, Donatella referenced the Spring 1997 Versus collection and reimagined the prints from the archive.

Inspired by ballerinas, cross-crossed cardigans, tights, bodysuits, or ribbon ballet shoes were on full display at Maximilian Davis’ Ferragamo. The iconic Italian design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana paid homage to the equally as iconic Madonna for the Spring 2025 Dolce & Gabbana collection, complete with the iconic cone bra and models sporting blonde wigs in a nod to the queen of pop’s Blond Ambition tour. Matthieu Blazy gave power dressing a whole new, playful meaning with his latest offering for Bottega Veneta, essentially closing out Milan Fashion Week in high style.

Here’s all the Hits & Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025:

MISS | Prada

“I really despise Raf Simons with all my heart. Everything he does is so cold, emotionless, serious and pretentious. you can see he hates women and his use of colors is ghastly!” [carla56]

“WHAT THE SH#T IS THIS? I’m traumatized…” [DK92]

“A mess. And not a good kind of mess. Casting was awful.” [Isami]

HIT | Tod’s

“Quiet luxury done right.” [LadyJunon]

“Love this! Even the shower curtain gowns at the end!” [youthinasia]

“I want everything. Even the set design is cleverly done. Obviously Matteo Tamburini has less archive to play around with but certainly they want to project the craftsmanship luxury for the brand. Yes for everything.” [TaylorBinque]

MISS | Moschino

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“I can’t believe this is only Adrian Appiolaza’s second collection. I am bored already. There is no theme here, an extremely unforgettable parade of expensive clown clothes.” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]

“Can’t believe I’m saying this, but this actually makes me appreciate Jeremy Scott. This brand is only ‘good’ when it’s dumb and childish, which was Scott’s main talent. Whenever someone tries to go into a Betsy Johnson or Sonya Rykiel direction it never ends up being very good because it renders the brand unnecessary.” [GoldenPetals]

“When I see collections like this I wonder how someone could have the nerve to call themselves a fashion designer.” [GivenchyHomme]

HIT | Max Mara

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“It works! Straight to the point, efficient, well styled. On point!” [Lola701]

“One of the brands that delivers season after season. Just enough glamour, opulence, and sexiness to everything.” [tourbillions]

“I’m in love with this collection, just as much as the vast majority. Divine, absolutely divine from the opening look to that closing look on Vittoria Ceretti. From the set to the styling it’s all just so chic, effortless, and utterly immaculate. One of the standout shows from Milan Fashion Week, without a shadow of a doubt.” [vogue28]

HIT | Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini

“One of Lorenzo Serafini’s best collections in a long time.” [Lola701]

“Some dresses are stellar!” [disco54]

“I really like almost every single look. It looks like what Chemena Kamali did at Chloé, except done right instead of what she actually produced.” [philophile]

MISS | MM6 Maison Margiela

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Normally I always like something from MM6, because they always keep a bit of the original Margiela spirit, but this! Especially if you watch the video. It’s like Y2K’s Baby Phat all over again. And the music didn’t help to recreate that vibe.” [philophile]

“There is something Philipp Plein or Dsquared2, in a sl*tty Y2K trash-reality TV vibe.” [yslforever]

“This looks more Diesel than Margiela. Generic garments with some light archival regurgitation. They need new ideas to make Margiela evolve.” [jeanclaude]

HIT | No.21

“This is STUNNING!” [TianCouture]

“Finally, something good to eat! Obsessed with that brocade cocktail dress/striped scarf combo! I love this.” [IsabelMarantBoy]

“I watched this show live and the collection was so fun, joyful and delicious. It’s very 2000s Prada, but it’s done so well.” [LadyJunon]

MISS | Fendi

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“A slow-paced boring show of boring clothes with a terrible casting. Such a waste of resources. And this time, even Silvia’s accessories couldn’t save it.” [Lola701]

“This is really bad, and the bags are awful too.” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]

“Boring clothes, boring set and a parade of boring girls with dead eyes. The styling was hideous, whoever put models in those ugly boots should be jailed. Kim Jones really isn’t helping himself by showing an already soulless collection in such sterile space and casting girls that bring nothing.” [avonlea002]

HIT | Del Core

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“Maybe Daniel Del Core’s most subtle collection! Very pleasing.” [Lola701]

“More Jil Sander than the current Jil Sander, and I love it.” [yslforever]

“He’s one of my favorite designers (if not my favorite at the minute) and even if this is slightly tamed for what I was expecting, it’s still really amazing! Naomi looked so stunning that I forgot how fed up I was of seeing her! Breathtaking!” [WAVES]

See all the looks from the Del Core Spring 2025 collection.

MISS | Jil Sander

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“10 years after and Lucie Meier and Luke Meier still don’t have a f*cking clue about Jil Sander.” [helmutnotdead]

“Yikes. It’s so stuffy and unflattering. At this point just throw the whole brand away.” [GoldenPetals]

“Everything but Jil Sander (as always). Lucie Meier and Luke Meier destroy the brand image with collections like this one. Horrible oversized jackets with huge shoulder pads falling…horrible prints and stupid ornaments.” [jeanclaude]

See all the looks from the Jil Sander Spring 2025 collection.

MISS | Roberto Cavalli

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“The beginning was weird and full of copies. Very limited and one note. Then, Puglisi ran wild with the prints. The random homage could’ve been better incorporated or reflected throughout the show. It’s giving tacky. We’re missing the party, the glamour, the zest of life. Where is the excitement, confidence, enthusiasm?” [TerraVera]

“The models carried the show literally. The clothes were a shadow of the high-octane glamour of Roberto Cavalli.” [disco54]

“The problem with referencing Cavalli is that people can look up the old shows, compare and be disappointed. Cavalli was a master of glamour but also of leather. There was substance.” [Alquimista]

See all the looks from the Roberto Cavalli Spring 2025 collection.

HIT | Dolce & Gabbana

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“This collection isn’t just Madonna coded, it’s Madonna from start to finish. An amazing tribute to her, and so appropriate that she was in the front row.” [mepps]

“It’s a very nice hommage. After all, Madonna was very instrumental in their success.” [Lola701]

“I like this collection a lot probably because it has allure and sultriness of Monica Bellucci in Malena!” [JohannesL]

MISS | Gucci

All the Hits & (Surprising) Misses of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2025
IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“The show was a disaster. First look and I already knew it was a flop. The basicness of it. And those tracksuit-inspired pants oh dear. Seriously, Sabato De Sarno has zero vision for the brand. This collection was just a bunch of uninspired clothes put together with no emotion, no direction.” [Frederic01]

“So basic and generic! No POV at all. It’s many things mixed together to hide the lack of vision. Gucci needs somebody with a real vision. This could be a Zara fashion show.” [Creative]

“This was a trunk show. De Sarno showed everything under the sun so ultimately, everybody is going to find something they like. I find it decent verging on boring. A non-event.” [Lola701]

See all the looks from the Gucci Spring 2025 collection.

MISS | Versace

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“I’m so tired of Donatella at this point. Everything she’s done in the last decade has either been a sh*tty archive rehash or a even sh*ttier attempt at being ‘Sexy Prada’.” [LadyJunon]

“What a lovely Missoni collection.” [Magic Spells]

“What in the identity crisis was that? It looked like a bad Versus collection that has been rotting in the warehouse since late 90’s. The draping numbers towards the end were offensive. Donatella should retire.” [avonlea002]

MISS | Boss

“Ouch. What a snoozefest.” [90sfan]

“Yawn. Why is spring heavy and dark this season? The energy of Milan is exhausted and autopilot.” [TerraVera]

“I’m sorry, I fully stopped taking this seriously after seeing that one TikTok dude who’s famous for pulling a weird face come out in look #12. What the actual.” [Mr-Dale]

HIT | Antonio Marras

HIT | Marni

“Probably Francesco Risso’s best collection ever and possibly his closest to the spirit of Marni.” [Lola701]

“This is gorgeous. I feel like THIS is how you do luxury in 2024. It’s both timeless and fresh. I love that comic book-like quality it’s got. It fits so well at Marni.” [GoldenPetals]

“I really loved this collection! It was much more pared down compared to his previous offering for the house and I think that’s a good thing.” [Ruito]

MISS | Bottega Veneta

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT/LAUNCHMETRICS

“A hodgepodge of ideas as per but this time it was even more disjointed. Still, no cohesion to be found in Matthieu Blazy’s collections. I found it boring. Still playing with the same motifs that he’s done to death.” [mteb123]

“I am very allergic to his BV. Everything is too heavy, cumbersome, rigid and strict. There is no ease, no sensuality.” [IloveDiorHomme]

“Very gimmicky. I think this is a collection of gimmicks with an excessive amount of fabrics. I think it’s time re-size things.” [Lola701]

MISS | Bally

“Yikes, the tailoring is abysmal.” [avonlea002]

“What is this? Bally des Garçons? Comme des Bally? Hideous proportions and volumes, awful prints! What was the inspiration here… Quasimodo?? The disconnection with the image of the brand (the shoes) is abysmal.” [jeanclaude]

“The proportions and tailoring of those leather coats are killing me. They are so frumpy and unflattering.” [GivenchyHomme]

HIT | Alberta Ferretti

“To the point and classic Alberta.” [Cocteau Stone]

“I like how Alberta knows her brand and her clientele, and still manages to contribute a little something here and there to the fashion discourse, like the pink dress.” [ghostwriter10549]

“It’s all just so beautiful and so quintessential Alberta Ferretti, and I’m quite fond of the splashes of vivid bold color throughout the neutral collection.” [vogue28]

“Diesel continues to be a standout each Milan Fashion Week season for how they are approaching show production and it’s what makes fashion exciting.” [jeremydante]

“The longer shapes with the fringe are a nice experiment.” [Cocteau Stone]

“I find it fantastic! It’s probably my favorite collection Glenn Martens did for Diesel. While Diesel is totally not my aesthetic, I think the collection was strong. It was well executed. Martens pushed everything to the max, it was tacky but with inventive ideas. It’s really fantastic!” [Lola701]

MISS | Ferragamo

“I see Lemaire, Bottega and Dior by MGC but no Ferragamo. And I really don’t know who Maximilian Davis is creatively speaking. The POV is so weak that it feels non-existent.” [GivenchyAddict]

“This collection doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. I can’t see why a buyer would choose this when similar options are already out there. Honestly, your money would be better spent at Bottega Veneta or Loewe, where you’re getting more bang for the buck.” [GivenchyHomme]

Right now, we remain in the absolute state of bliss that is Milan Fashion Week. This season for Spring 2025, the Milanese fashion festivities is the gift that keeps on giving. We’re only halfway through the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana’s jam-packed schedule and have already bared witness to some standout fashion moments. At Fendi, before the Italian fashion house celebrates 100 years in 2025, Kim Jones looked to the Roaring Twenties (with the house of Fendi founded in 1925). Light and airy spring-ready fabrications allowed to body to move freely at Alberta Ferretti and Marco Falcioni at Boss invited guests into a soothing urban garden.

Fausto Puglisi give us a finale for the ages at Roberto Cavalli, enlisting a handful of the late designer’s supermodel muses (including Natasha Poly and Joan Smalls) to walk the high-octane show. The collection of Ian Griffiths at Max Mara paid homage to Alexandrian philosopher and teacher Hypatia. Topless hats, embellished eyewear, and metallic pieces made their way down the runway at Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons’ ninth womenswear collection as creative partners – and perhaps the best of Milan Fashion Week is yet to come.

Designers across the globe continue to trip up over themselves to endorse Kendall Jenner as the face of their collections. The recent Spring 2024 season saw Jenner whip up advertising campaigns for Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and Gucci. For Fall 2024, the American beauty currently fronts the campaigns of MO&Co, has returned for her fourth consecutive Calvin Klein campaign and become the face of the Tory Burch Sublime fragrance. As a result, it should come as no surprise to see another campaign added to Kendall’s rooster, with the unveiling of the Fall 2024 Marni campaign.

Francesco Risso is the latest to champion the industry fave, with the unveiling of Vol. 2 of Marni’s Fall 2024 campaign installment. Captured within a Suburban setting, Kendall dons Risso’s collection which was presented back in February during Milan Fashion Week.

Seven months later and Kendall Jenner can be found posing for photographer Colin Dodgson, as per the request of Risso. The campaign is complete with styling from Carlos Nazario. Throughout the campaign imagery, Jenner sports long tousled hair, short blunt bangs and pencil-thin brows.

Vogue España April 2024 : Bad Gyal by Campbell Addy

You just have to hand it to Inés Lorenzo. Subsequent to taking up the mantel as head of editorial content at Vogue Spain HQ, Lorenzo has successfully managed to support homegrown talent via the Spanish fashion bible’s front covers. Everyone from Blanca Padilla and Penélope Cruz to Ángela Molina and Rosalía have graced the magazine during Lorenzo’s tenure – some on more than one occasion. Bad Gyal is unveiled as the magazine’s April 2024 cover star, marking the Spanish singer and songwriter’s very first Vogue cover appearance. Via the lens of photographer Campbell Addy, Bad Gyal poses under clear blue skies in the warm and inviting cover photograph, dressed by stylist Harry Lambet in a floral top and skirt from Francesco Risso’s Spring 2024 Marni collection.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Looooove Bad Gyal, but this is so terrible,” exclaimed Creative the moment the cover dropped.

Also not exactly enthralled by the outcome was forum member Urban Stylin, commenting: “I feel like the photography betrayed the model.”

“Out of all the Euro editions of Vogue, I feel like Vogue Spain remains the strongest and most… consistent. At the very least, Inés Lorenzo regularly champions homegrown talent – this being a prime example. No idea who Bad Gyal is and that Marni dress (looking like Lady Gaga’s meat dress) is an eyesore but the lighting and colors are beautiful,” reasoned vogue28.

That’s a wrap on MFW, with the undisputed king of Italian fashion that is Giorgio Armani rounding out the Milan Fashion Week schedule with a dreamy confection of whimsy and timeless silhouettes – sprinkled with a touch of romance. A wardrobe of winter florals, leaving us all here at theFashionSpot speechless in admiration.

Back on day one, it was Glenn Martens kick-starting the 5-day Milanese affair, with his fifth physical showcase as the creative force behind Diesel and experimented with a new and accessible show format. At Fendi, Kim Jones is wrapping up the Fendi woman for the Fall 2024 season in elegant tailoring. For a shot of color and extra warmth, Jones finished off the silhouette by adding extra layers of knitwear and cashmere. Utilitarianism done right. In an ode to metamorphosis, Fausto Puglisi ditched the signature animal prints in favor of a different kind of texture at Roberto Cavalli, opting for a marble-esque print this season. MFW staple Alberta Ferretti mixed leather and lace, fluffy winter coats with short skirts and chic tailoring with broad shoulders.

Timeless elegance reigned supreme at Ian Griffith’s Max Mara showcase, fabulous knitwear pieces in shades of grey were paraded down the runway by a stellar cast of top models including Natasha Poly and Yasmin Wijnaldum. Office attire with glimpses of the 50s were on full display at Prada, with co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons fusing together fashion with fragments of history. In a stunning tribute to a luminous nights sky, models walked the Emporio Armani finale with umbrellas as a light flurry of fake snow fell softly down on the runway – making for a truly unforgettable MFW moment.

Adrian Appiolaza made an extremely good impression on his first outing as Moschino’s creative director, having only had one whole month to work on the collection. On his second outing at the helm of Tom Ford, Peter Hawkings only further continued his vision of glamour and power. Models walked a marble runway wearing sleek tailored suits, hyper sexy dresses, big gold jewelry and killer heels. Matteo Tamburini’s debut at Tod’s saw the designer present an impeccable edited collection, true to the brand’s heritage. At Gucci, Sabato De Sarno essentially delivered part two of his Ancora vision, doubling down on the distinct shade of burgundy. Punk rock and the vamp aesthetics of the 80s were unveiled by Donatella at Versace, proving the iconic designer is wild at heart.

The Fall 2024 collection at Jil Sander featured pieces with crystal accents and an assortment of shaggy bags and shoes. Faithful to the brand’s DNA, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana presented a collection where black reigned supreme (with leopard print splashed throughout). Matthieu Blazy played with texture, shape and volume at Bottega Veneta and made the banal brilliant. Maximilian Davis’ latest for Ferragamo took inspo from the flapper girls of the 20s while it was all about pattern and play at Missoni.

How did such collections fare amongst theFashionSpot’s very own army of fashion critics, you ask? Scroll on further for the (many) hits and misses of Milan Fashion Week Fall 2024:

HIT | Missoni

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“What a great way to combine colors, stripes and texture. everything worked perfectly! Loved the venue and the music too.” [prylvi]

“What a great collection! This is the energy Missoni needed! The overload of patterns and styling works perfectly! Well done!” [WAVES]

“Ooh this a fun and smart with a small side of pop art. It is refreshing to see a collection that looks like itself (exuding its energy and essence) while also being forward thinking and contemporary. I really like this. Bravo, Grazioli. Impressive.” [TerraVera]

HIT | Giorgio Armani

“The craftsmanship is exquisite.” [lowfive1715]

“At last someone capable of designing flattering trousers. They are exquisite, while looking effortless.” [yslforever]

“Exquisite. As per usual with Giorgio Armani, the fabrics look extremely luxurious, plush and expensive. The color palette, as always too, is fabulous. There’s a flow from one look to the next, it’s all just executed to perfection. Armani’s shades of pink are always ultra-fabulous.” [vogue28]

HIT | Bottega Veneta

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“I mean it’s gorgeous, sumptuous and in the moment. The woven knits are delicious and the best pieces in the collection.” [Nimsay]

“It’s such a beautiful collection, I’m impressed! I love how graphic the silhouettes are, even the sharpness of the shoulders makes sense for me here, especially in knitwear. I also feel like it’s less heavy on experimenting with fabrics, and maybe that’s why it feels less forced than Spring 2024. I love it, and this time, even the in-house styling is not problematic at all.” [perhydrol]

“Sublime! Haven’t enjoyed a collection this much in a very long time.” [Ruito]

HIT | Tom Ford

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“I love this, all that this beautiful brand needed was a bit of streamlining to take it‘s rightful place as the most aspiring mainstream luxury brand and that‘s what Peter Hawking‘s done here.” [tricotineacetat]

“Streamlined and sexy. Love!” [AnaD]

“It’s got that disco gloss to it without venturing into Eurotrash territory. It’s really done in a tasteful way and whether people want to accept it or not, this has become a classic silhouette that Tom Ford himself popularized.” [GoldenPetals]

MISS | Prada

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Prada used to be famous for ‘ugly chic’. Now it’s just ugly.” [Koibito]

“At this point the brand is dead to me. I have nothing but love for Miuccia, but I’m no longer interested in her work. It’s all become too obvious. Sales may be up, but at what cost?” [GivenchyHomme]

“This looks like luxe apocalypse fashion. Boring, dated, the whole tone and styling of the show seems weird. The intentionally awkward arm placement of the models. The cast looks like they were told to look miserable onstage.” [AnaD]

See all the looks from the Prada Fall 2024 collection.

MISS | Gucci

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“I’m crying… it’s just so cheap! The new low.” [Kanzai]

“It’s becoming increasingly clear that Kering wasn’t looking for a designer with a strong point of view (unlike Alessandro Michele) but just someone capable of making decent clothes for a large demographic so that they can sell them at an excessive price and that everything will be put into the marketing side.” [GivenchyAddict]

“When it was suggested that his designs need to be elevated, it wasn’t meant literally on a raised runway.” [Cocteau Stone]

See all the looks from the Gucci Fall 2024 collection.

MISS | Jil Sander

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Horrendous.” [Alquimista]

“Are women actually buying these frumpy clothes? Even the tailored pieces are unflattering. There is no reason for them to shift away from the DNA of the house. Minimalism is thought of as easy, but it’s actually more difficult because it involves an emphasis on tailoring.” [GivenchyHomme]

“The spirit of the brand is certainly missing. It all seems a bit too tortured and away from the body in unappealing ways.” [Norden]

See all the looks from the Jil Sander Fall 2024 collection.

HIT | Dolce & Gabbana

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“This is a strong collection from Dolce & Gabbana solely because it is confident and extremely focused! There’s something that I will always appreciate about designers doing what they know they can do well.” [Lola701]

“Glad they found their way back to the much-needed sexy collections. No one does it better than them!” [tourbillions]

“YES, this is everything. It’s focused, direct, the mood is right and well made. They wanted to make a collection of tuxedos, jackets, coats, furs and that’s what they did. The sheer lingerie compliments them like a template of sexiness. Casting was great too!” [Alquimista]

See all the looks from the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2024 collection.

MISS | Bally

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Those clothes are so weird. What a strange cut, ugly accessories and the whole bit is quite tragic. A waste of resources!” [Lola701]

“Undesirable.” [jeanclaude]

“I’m kind of repulsed by that olive green top with the flattened ruffle.” [Cocteau Stone]

See all the looks from the Bally Fall 2024 collection.

MISS | Roberto Cavalli

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“What happened. Their previous seasons were so tight and screamed Cavalli. This feels like Prada trying to be sexy.” [Nimsay]

“A massive step back. Looks like a nondescript collection from the early 2010s. The casting is all over the place, making the clothes look even worse because there’s no attitude to it.” [Cocteau Stone]

“Ugh, I hate it. I want trashy 2000s Cavalli back!” [Scotty]

HIT | Ferragamo

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Love it. The perfect cast. Great colors, good footwear and I am even starting to warm up to his oversize hug bag. All Maximilan Davis’ women are strong and sultry, but still full of grace.” [VERNIQUE]

“I can see myself going to a fancy dinner in the two full knitwear looks (the beige and the green one) with just a nice little bag and it’s perfect! I must say this about Maximillian: he has a nice eye for colors! He chooses the right shades. And the burgundy and red combination is kinda fantastic!” [Lola701]

“The colors in this are just absolutely gorgeous! He’s certainly started to wise up and become more intuitive with his skill set and what he needs to work on.” [Cocteau Stone]

See all the looks from the Ferragamo Fall 2024 collection.

MISS | Marni

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“What the hell is this? What happened to Marni? I want to like the coats and capes, but this is awful.” [TerraVera]

“I feel sick. This makes me sad.” [Not Plain Jane]

“Utter trash, all this needs to be put in a pile and doused in gasoline and burnt.” [disco54]

See all the looks from the Marni Fall 2024 collection.

MISS | Versace

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Ever since the Michael Kors takeover, Versace has become so insanely cheap looking. It’s like a completely different brand from those Donatella glory days of the early 00’s.” [lookatme]

“The styling and overall tone of the collection feels confused to me, a little goth, a little sprinkle of punk, a little Chanel… there’s a lot.” [aracic]

“This brand is completely neutered. It can still smell hormones but it doesn’t know what to do with it. All sex appeal is lost. It’s just kind of sad.” [TianCouture]

See all the looks from the Versace Fall 2024 collection.

HIT | Tod’s

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Great debut! Bravo! I haven’t loved a Tod’s collection that much since Alessandra Facchinetti left. I think this is good because it’s clever. Tod’s is not a fashion brand, it’s a leather goods maison. Here, he understood the assignment. The bags and shoes were very beautiful! Those bags are perfect! The clothes were down to earth, well designed and well styled. That’s a bit how I want Hermes to look.” [Lola701]

“Wonderful collection. I love how practical and elegant (also expensive) everything looks.” [thiago]

“This is by a mile the most pleasant surprise of the season. A very strong collection with variety of offerings and delicious accessories.” [TaylorBinque]

See all the looks from the Tod’s Fall 2024 collection.

MISS | Blumarine

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Remember when Blumarine was fun?” [AnaD]

“Something about this all looks so dated. Would have passed for a collection from 2015 or 2016 but not cutting it for 2024 sweety darling.” [GERGIN]

“The result was exactly what I expected. Sad and depressing. Why they thought a designer who does quiet luxury could do Blumarine is beyond me.” [LadyJunon]

See all the looks from the Blumarine Fall 2024 collection.

HIT | Emporio Armani

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Absolutely stunning. Bravo our master!” [Kanzai]

“I love seeing a master at work. The finale is stunning and I love seeing the cast look happy rowing their job. Fabulous show full of beautiful clothes!” [AnaD]

“The finale was breathtaking!” [Koibito]

See all the looks from the Emporio Armani Fall 2024 collection.

HIT | Moschino

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Way better than I was expecting. I don’t know why but I LOVED the last look. Bravo Adrian!” [Alejandra Isami]

“That was a TERRIFIC collection! He really understood the spirit of Franco Moschino. It’s classic with a twist, the right dose of humor but also very serious in terms of cut and execution. He is a dressmaker. The dressmaking was kind of exceptional for Moschino. The references were there but it had his spirit. Once again there’s a coherence between the designer and the clothes.” [Lola701]

“Guys, let’s be realistic, the man had a month to put together a debut collection and I think he did a very good job. He knows the archive very well, to begin with. He gets the Moschino values more than Jeremy Scott ever did.” [bc collector]

See all the looks from the Moschino Fall 2024 collection.

MISS | Sportmax

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“I haven’t seen such a chaotic collection in a long time. Grazia Malagoli are so inconsistent.” [helmutnotdead]

“This is kind of hard to comprehend as a collection. Just way too many disparate ideas that have been chucked in a design blender and they just hoped for the best.” [Cocteau Stone]

“A disaster.” [Lola701]

See all the looks from the Sportmax Fall 2024 collection.

HIT | Max Mara

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Luxe and chic! Making me anticipate redoing my fall/winter wardrobe Clean, straightforward design. I appreciate it.” [TerraVera]

“A quintessential Max Mara collection, and I have nothing but love for every single look. So clean, refined, elegant, sophisticated, luxurious – the list goes on and on. This whole entire collection was styled by Tonne Goodman perfectly. Goodman and Ian Griffiths are proving to be a match made in heaven!” [vogue28]

“Such a ‘simple’ show and such a great fashion moment. It was close to perfection and this casting will be hard to beat!” [Ihhbl]

See all the looks from the Max Mara Fall 2024 collection.

HIT | Alberta Ferretti

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“I can always count on Ferretti for beautiful clothes each season.” [LadyJunon]

“In love with those massive knits! Very good collection for separates and outerwear. Good use of color too, it’s nice to see some restraint. This may be one of the few times chartreuse doesn’t turn my stomach.” [AnaD]

“Gorgeous!” [Nimsay]

See all the looks from the Alberta Ferretti Fall 2024 collection.

MISS | Fendi

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Such a depressing collection, possibly the worst Fendi collection in decades? Honestly, Kim Jones should get a lifetime ban from designing womenswear ever again.” [style_expert]

“The worst knitwear of the season and so many unflattering propositions in one collection is just too much.” [perhydrol]

“Remember when Fendi used to be actually luxurious? Why would anyone spend thousands of dollars on stuff that has no glamour or uniqueness?” [GoldenPetals]

See all the looks from the Fendi Fall 2024 collection.

HIT | Del Core

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Oh I think this is fabulous. Feels very directional while remaining a bit effortless.” [TianCouture]

“I was a fan of Del Core’s since day one. I’m happy to see that he’s balancing out his offering with more daywear than he used to present at the beginning. I’m all for young designers who are out there with a serious proposition, real clothes, designed, cut and sewn clothes (not just styled). And worn by real models rather than the usual bunch of weirdos.” [bc collector]

“Beautiful collection! So minimal yet so sharp! Really love the draping here, it’s like I’m seeing fabric as portrayed in Michelangelo’s paintings. Chic!” [Ruito]

See all the looks from the Del Core Fall 2024 collection.

HIT | Etro

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“Sumptuous fabrics, lush textures, this was heavenly!” [Ruito]

“This is lovely! The color palette works so beautifully with the textiles. The prints and textures also looks very mature and expensive with the knitwear being my favorite part.” [dancv]

“Oh this is LUSH. It’s got that Colonial-era jazz lounge kinda glamor to it. There’s something very Chinoiserie about it. I love the details, like the fringes, ruffles, and tribal jewelry.” [GoldenPetals]

See all the looks from the Etro Fall 2024 collection.

HIT | No.21

IMAGE | SPOTLIGHT

“This this what I like about Dell’Acqua: he’s a real clotheshorse, he does what he does with a very earnest approach and he’s not pretentious about it.” [bc collector]

“It’s a beautiful and solid collection. The knitwear and the cocktail dresses are kind of exceptional…” [Lola701]

“Fabulous fabulous collection.” [TianCouture]

HIT | Diesel

“Always have a soft spot for his Diesel. I see some Gaultier-esque pieces here.” [Kanzai]

“I like it much more than the past seasons! It’s a hit!” [Ihhbl]

That’s a wrap on Paris Fashion Week’s Spring 2024 season, and fashion month is now complete. 26 days, 4 fashion capitals, 2 continents and 1 whole season of pure fashion thrills, excitement, grand finales and fresh starts.
Opening up Paris was Peter Do, who ventured from New York to showcase his wears within the French capital for the very first time, delivering a collection of cropped blazers, deconstructed tailoring and sheer blouses. Next up was Maria Grazia Chiuri at Christian Dior, where the designer gave a stark (and slightly haunting) feminist statement in collaboration with artist Elena Bellantoni. Anthony Vaccarello was soon unveiling a re-do of the iconic safari look at Saint Laurent, first made famous by Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent back in 1968. The look was updated in the chicest way possible, with gloves, bangles, statement earrings and killer heels finishing off each look. At Courrèges, models walked on friable concrete and just two weeks after Balmain’s collection was stolen, Olivier Rousteing gave us a lesson in volume and sculpture (as well as… resilience). Chinos, denim and stripes were on the agenda at Dries Van Noten – “normal clothes” as the designer himself called them. For spring, Julien Dossena is dressing the Rabanne woman as a warrior, dripping in chain mail (because, what else?). Gabriela Hearst was soon taking her final bow (and dance cue) as creative director of Chloé, going out with a bang by finishing off the brand’s River Seine-set showcase with a live performance from Brazil’s legendary Mangueira samba school. Rick Owens made sure he gave us a show we won’t forget quickly, with models looking otherworldly in his designs, complete with fog cannons engulfing the Palais de Tokyo. Daniel Roseberry revisited an Elsa Schiaparelli signature: the lobster, asking Kendall Jenner to close his Schiaparelli offering wearing a full lacquered fingernail dress. At Loewe, Jonathan Anderson focused on altering proportions and Yohji Yamamoto proved black will always be in fashion. Tailoring met athleisure (and technology) at Coperni, models walked through a makeshift meadow at Hermès and a standing ovation was awarded to Sarah Burton as she rounded out her tenure at Alexander McQueen. Nicolas Ghesquière paid homage to the ultimate Parisian woman at Louis Vuitton, evoking Vuitton’s spirit of travel ideology and immersing guests within a room draped in vivid orange fabric. Mugler’s show wasn’t shy of Insta-worthy moments while the full genius of John Galliano was on display at Maison Margiela. Virginie Viard, always one to be rounding out the fashion festivities, foresees a youthful and optimistic spring season ahead, full of sequins, florals, lace and pastel-colored tweeds.
Go ahead and scroll down for a completely unfiltered take on Paris Fashion Week’s Spring 2024 season, all in accordance with members of theFashionSpot forums.

MISS | Schiaparelli

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I find it quite tacky and not fun at all. There are a lot of things I absolutely hate about it, from the pieces to the styling.” [Lola701]
“Yeah I think he went overboard with the camp. It looks a bit like glorified Moschino? I think that’s the audience he’s going for. People who want a traditional silhouette while still convincing themselves that they’re ‘mAkInG a StAteMeNt'” [GoldenPetals]
“The opening is the worst part. The unbuttoned skirts section was awful. The sliced skirt with bustier was terrible. The draped pieces were pretty good but the heavy fabrics weighed them down. [Nimsay]

MISS | Loewe

“Too much rinse and repeat.” [VERNIQUE]
“It leaves me cold. Maybe it’s the sterile presentation.” [avonlea002]
“First time I’m not feeling JW Anderson’s Loewe (his own collection did better). I guess I’m always expecting something a bit more complex from him and this felt very… light and simple? Boring would be the best word to me.” [thiago]

MISS | Christian Cowan

“Please make it stop.” [gallianostan]
“Go back to New York this has nothing to do in Paris…” [badgalcrush]
“Its so easy to hate this. Pure trash clothing, stuff appears literally cobbled together. Stupid gimmicks shown multiple times for some reason. No actual fashion here.” [Nimsay]

“I’m such a sucker for his Dune/Cyberpunk aesthetic. I can’t help but love it. I love EVERY. SINGLE. THING.” [GoldenPetals]
“Extremely well made and intriguing. Love the colors as well.” [Ihhbl]
“I do love the boots. They are fab.” [TaylorBinque]

HIT | Rabanne

IMAGE: VOGUE

“A strong combination of metal and finesse.” [VERNIQUE]
“It’s definitely the strongest Dossena’s collection at Rabanne so far. It’s such a fascinating collection.” [perhydrol]
“Damn. This is gorgeous. I think my favorite collection this whole season. What a great interpretation of Paco. I love how fantastical it is, while still being grounded and wearable. I can’t even decide on a favorite piece. But the one with the peacock feathers is truly something else.” [GoldenPetals]

MISS | Christian Dior

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I will not acknowledge a collection presented on that set.” [gazebo]
“How are Maria Grazia Chiuri’s clothes always so drab, ugly, and unappealing? And still with the slogans!” [MyNameIs]
“I HATE it when fashion houses shoehorn political theatrics into their show to dress up a collection that’s otherwise fine on its own. Here, it seems very forced and distracting because it’s so irrelevant.” [GoldenPetals]

HIT | Alexander McQueen

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Damn I’m so emotional right now.” [prylvi]
“I love it. Fierce tailoring, so elegant. Great casting too.” [Not Plain Jane]
“It was an amazing farewell collection. Some pieces are stunning. The gold was a great surprise, the thick knitwear piece, the tailoring as always and that shade of red is perfect. The cast was also great. Well done, Sarah!” [WAVES]

HIT | Givenchy

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I like it. Looked chic and some Givenchy codes were there. It’s a step up and I see some progress.” [Ihhbl]
“Probably Matthew Williams’ best collection. But something about the entire thing is timid and unconvincing. The chiffon draped dresses are pretty as well as the satin gown with the lace and chiffon.” [reese06]
“Did Williams get some ‘help’? A consultant designer perhaps? Because it’s the first time he fully understands what it means to be at Givenchy.” [yslforever]

MISS | Isabel Marant

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I find this collection terribly embarrassing…” [Lola701]
“Marant’s shows have looked the same to me for the past 8 years!” [plentyofhorns]
“Remarkably awful. The pace was sooo slow and everyone looked so miserable. What happened to Isabel Marant is really wild to me. Went from 100 to 0 real quick.” [TianCouture]

HIT | Saint Laurent

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Another sublime collection from Anthony Vaccarello, I’m a little lost for words.” [vogue28]
“A total YES for me. Amazing clothes, ultra luxurious, loyal to the brand identity but with a contemporary feeling.” [Ihhbl]
“Brilliant! What a sublime collection, sumptuous for the eyes. Its very mid 80s Rodeo Drive rich b!tch YSL but modernized in Vaccarello’s own way. Definitely one of the best shows of the season!” [disco54]

MISS | Peter Do

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I’m left feeling emotionless and uninspired.” [michael123]
“I must’ve deinfluenced myself because I’m not buying any of this anymore. Those pieces don’t really have their own identity and Peter doesn’t have an eye for colour. Every nice piece could be easily sourced elsewhere, probably with better quality.” [perhydrol]
“This looks very tortured and downright costume.” [Norden]

HIT | Hermès

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I love this, to me its the definition of quiet luxury.” [Urban Stylin]
“Impeccable, really.” [liberty33r1b]
“I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s so good, so luxurious and expensive. The leather work on the last looks is unretouchable. Great work and amazing casting!” [Ihhbl]

HIT | Dries Van Noten

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I liked this. As a whole, this collection feels much closer in style and spirit to his work in the 1990s.” [Kennnnn]
“Lots of beautiful wearable pieces in this collection. Loved the colors and the styling.” [Ihhbl]
“Of course my man always delivers every season.” [Ruito]

HIT | Balmain

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I like how completely different it is to the rest.” [Norden]
“I’m surprised by how much I like it. It was almost charming, and I can see myself wearing some pieces. Look 5 is a simple but fresh take on the three pieces suit. The green top with the pink pants is a fabulous look.” [Lola701]
“I liked it a lot. It’s not always right, sometimes bordering on costume but the craftsmanship is just incredible. Olivier Rousteing loves his job and it shows.” [avonlea002]
See all the looks from the Balmain Spring 2024 collection.

MISS | Marni

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“When did Marni become so clownish? Most of this is extremely difficult to look at. Such poorly edited pieces.” [GoldenPetals]
“The most confusing runway presentation ever…” [Lola701]
“All the work Consuelo did to be undone by this fool [Francesco Risso] in a couple minutes. This brand is going to broke if it keeps churning this sh*t out.” [disco54]

HIT | Undercover

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“In love with every thing here…” [yslforever]
“Jun Takahashi ate and left no crumbs. Stunning!” [helmutnotdead]
“Really enjoy this. At parts, it felt like he took Raf SImons’ Dior but gave it some humor and character – which is a good thing to me.” [Overindulgence]

HIT | Courrèges

IMAGE: VOGUE

“What a fantastic collection, loved it! Sharp lines, feminine silhouettes, original use of cut. Overall, super clean and sensual too. Well done!” [WAVES]
“Very into this collection! His design language is very interesting and I love seeing him grow! Good for Di Felice!” [thiago]
“Courrèges is so hot right now. Incredible collection.” [Nimsay]

MISS | Nina Ricci

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“The more I look the more low-budget it gets.” [GoldenPetals]
“Hard to believe that Nina Ricci had money to throw away on this. Clothes for influencers with no real style.” [reese06]
“I can’t in good faith bring myself to like this. At the end of the day, they’re still cheap drag costumes, and at the end of the day, Harris Reed is horrendously untalented and does not deserve this appointment.” [gallianostan]
See all the looks from the Nina Ricci Spring 2024 collection.

HIT | Maison Margiela

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“P-E-R-F-E-C-T-I-O-N.” [Ihhbl]
“Literally not a SINGLE bad thing about this collection. I want literally everything. The way he comes up with new ways to ARRANGE the garment on the body is so brilliant, and that’s not even getting into how impeccably constructed each piece is. What a serve.” [GoldenPetals]
“The only designer I care about! Everything looks sooo delicious and the menswear jacket/coats are just fire. Love it love it love it!” [Olaffo]

HIT | Rokh

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Absolutely beautiful.” [Ihhbl]
“Oh this is so beautiful. There’s something very NOIR about it. I think it reminds me of Casablanca. The cuts are beautiful.” [GoldenPetals]
“There are some elegant aspects to this collection, especially the repeated motif of the trench.” [Not Plain Jane]
See all the looks from the Rokh Spring 2024 collection.

MISS | Chloé

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“The final dance was her best effort at Chloé.” [Tchi]
“Worst Chloé collection ever!” [liberty33r1b]
“So much leather for a spring/summer collection. It can work, but it’s so heavy handed here. Lack of any lightness or actual joy. Thank god Gabriela Hearst is out now.” [Cocteau Stone]
See all the looks from the Chloé Spring 2024 collection.

HIT | Louis Vuitton

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I loved it. I didn’t expect such a calm energy, soft energy from Nicolas.” [Lola701]
“I loved it… it might be one of my fave Vuitton collections. There’s an interesting mix between the 60s and 80s here – with a touch of the 2000s in the corset and pants look.” [Overindulgence]
“Loved it. I feel like I haven’t seen this type of femininity in his collections in a while. The energy seemed different here compared to his other LV shows. It was soft but still experimental in nature, so it made the few misses tolerable.” [depordetioz]
See all the looks from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2024 collection.

MISS | Coperni

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Courrèges by Shien.” [LadyJunon]
“I find Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant’s fashion approach so obnoxious. No kindness, no softness, no poetry, no elegance, no romance, no art, no fragility, no chaos.” [IloveDiorHomme]
“It’s all so limp. Everything has a strange rippling or bubbling because the fabrics are either cheap or not appropriately utilized, especially at the seams.” [Cocteau Stone]
See all the looks from the Coperni Spring 2024 collection.

HIT | Carven

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Nice to see Carven back!” [Not Plain Jane]
“I like every single look. A very strong and cohesive collection, there is no weak look for me. I like that it’s very clean and very wardrobe-oriented. It’s full of everyday pieces but with interesting twists to grab your attention.” [THD96]
“I think it’s easily one of the strongest collections of this season. It’s relaxed and sporty in a very fascinating way.” [perhydrol]
See all the looks from the Carven Spring 2024 collection.

MISS | AZ Factory

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“No one asked for this.” [TaylorBinque]
“Why are they even continuing with this brand?” [tourbillions]
“Looking more and more like the Target collaboration we all collectively decided to forget. Not one salvageable look.” [YohjiAddict]
See all the looks from the AZ Factory Spring 2024 collection.

HIT | Yohji Yamamoto

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“The kind of work only a master can produce. Bravo.” [dancv]
“Gorgeous as always. And very calming, particularly compared to what the fashion month has been giving to us. Love those opening jackets with the ivory sleeves and the gothic-lolita polka dots (which kind of look like the moon) for a strange dose of lightness.” [Cocteau Stone]
“Beautiful, as ever. A precious jewel in a sea of sh*t.” [gallianostan]
See all the looks from the Yohji Yamamoto Spring 2024 collection.

MISS | Mugler

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Trash. Next!” [gallianostan]
“Tacky stunts for Instagram.” [CommanderTMugler]
“I feel like this collection was only designed to have a bunch of work, slay, yaaas comments on Instagram and a bunch of snapping fingers at the show. No real fashion proposition.” [Lola701]
See all the looks from the Mugler Spring 2024 collection.

MISS | Stella McCartney

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“H&M?” [Mrs.T]
“Seems a bit all over the place, no coherence.” [Not Plain Jane]
“This collection bores me to death. Her fabrics always seem cheap to me. The last two dresses are straight up hideous. I’ve never understood her appeal, if there truly is one.” [GoldenPetals]
See all the looks from the Stella McCartney Spring 2024 collection.

MISS | Victoria Beckham

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“This is so messy even for Victoria’s standards.” [youthinasia]
“Some truly utterly bizarre things here. The panty knit bathing-suit, the jersey draped sack dress thing with gray knee-highs, the sailor references? Too much confusion.” [TianCouture]
“This is a mess. Possibly her worst. Is she trying to be avant-garde or something? It’s not working Vicky.” [TaylorBinque]
See all the looks from the Victoria Beckham Spring 2024 collection.

MISS | Balenciaga

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“This show felt like a farewell and I REALLY hope it’s true because, well, the trick has worn out.” [perhydrol]
“It’s so suffocating, so heavy, so cynical. Just stop.” [Machinegumm]
“Watching this left me in a state of profound sadness. It’s like a funeral procession for a moment in time, both disturbing and weirdly cathartic. I have no idea where Balenciaga can go from here, this show made sure that the ghost of the last years will hover around this brand for a long time to come.” [donyan]
See all the looks from the Balenciaga Spring 2024 collection.

MISS | Valentino

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“It’s cold and repressed for a house with such a vibrant history.” [GoldenPetals]
“When you realize your collection is again boring and dull, so you throw money at a live performance at the show to distract people.” [90sFan]
“This brand has become such a pitiful joke. You have FKA Twigs and her clones in bodyshape-wear in a sandbox a models walk into the room like dolled up debutantes for the Vienna ball. The laser cuts designs reminded me of those wedding invitations that were popular 25 years ago. It’s high time for a change. Pierpaolo Piccioli is clearly and visibly at his wit’s end.” [VERNIQUE]
See all the looks from the Valentino Spring 2024 collection.

HIT | Sacai

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Finally we see a softer side of Chitose Abe! Love it. I need these incredible black flare trousers with the matching striped balloon top.” [VERNIQUE]
“Definitely my favorite collection this season, practicality mixed with elements of sensuality and freedom. Bravo!” [Constructionist]
“The long lean trousers are delightful; the clean white section (that oversized vest!); the distorted fairisle sweaters and striped shirts; the sheer elements: it’s all so desirable.” [Not Plain Jane]
See all the looks from the Sacai Spring 2024 collection.

MISS | Chanel

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“For me the worst part of Virginie is that every collection just merge into the other, I really can’t tell seasons apart, always the same silhouettes, patterns, pieces, etc.” [ReneSanchez]
“This collection is like an ugly cousin of Sonia Rykiel, designed exclusively for people with no personality.” [perhydrol]
“I can’t understand why Virginie’s dresses are so ugly, she’s worked with Karl for years and seems incapable of creating an attractive black dress. The collection has no inspiration or personality, it’s just clothes, worse than that, it’s ugly clothes.” [Danilo Braz dos Santos]
See all the looks from the Chanel Spring 2024 collection.

MISS | Miu Miu

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“Absolute trash.” [helmutnotdead]
“The amount of branding is actually f*cking insane.” [sussienmcswanny]
“Well this was a boring dud. The clothes mediocre, the styling trying so hard that it falls so flat even before one can start laughing at it. Horrible casting of blonde, white clones of nothingness and ZERO character. What a sad finale to fashion month.” [90sFan]
See all the looks from the Miu Miu Spring 2024 collection.

HIT | Ann Demeulemeester

IMAGE: IMAXTREE

“I really like it and it is a very good debut collection from Stefano Gallici. It was exciting, pulsating and it actually felt new.” [LadyJunon]
“This is by far the best collection they’ve done so far , and there’s real potential here.” [donyan]
“The collection is quite good, miles better than the train wrecks that this house had gotten us used to in the last few years. If Gallici continues to improve, I see hope for this brand.” [YohjiAddict]
