Although the 2020 edition was canceled due to the health crisis, last year it returned on a much smaller scale. (Although Bella Hadid still manged to deliver two amazing looks.) The good news? This week the festival returns, hopefully with a bang. So we decided to reflect back on the greatest looks ever to hit the French Riviera before the 2022 festivities get underway.

We’re talking epic feathered trains, sculpted skirts, decadent embroidery and eye-catching embellished bodices. And let’s not forget all the dazzling jewelry. With everything going on right now, we could all use a little pick-me-up. Enter Celine Dion. The legendary entertainer has transformed herself into an unlikely fashion icon. And we’re not mad about it. It all started during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Fall 2019 when the singer upstaged everyone in the front rows. Celine kept the sartorial streak going in New York City late last year, including an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The annual CFDA Fashion Awards take place this Monday and while it’s always interesting to see which stars wear which designers, we’re looking forward to the ceremony for another reason. What makes the collaborations between Selena Gomez and Puma unique is that each collection is inspired by the singer’s personal experiences. Strong Girl, released last November, was influenced by her struggles with mental health issues. The latest collection, called Made for the Move Makers, is inspired by Gomez’s rise from her hometown of Grand Prairie, Texas to her current fast-paced life traveling all over the globe.

“I’m in love with this collection, because it’s inspired by my life,” Gomez explained in a press release. “I obviously wanted to create something that matches my lifestyle and that shows the real me — I’ve said it before, I need something that’s comfortable and flattering, pieces that I can just put on and give the impression it took me hours to plan. My favorite thing about it is that it gives different nods to me, to my history.”

The collection is immensely personal with every detail having special meaning to the star.
