While there were gorgeous gowns aplenty at last night’s CFDA Fashion Awards, suits were trending in a major way. From conventional tuxes with a touch of sparkle to deconstructed versions showing a lot of skin, numerous attendees suited up for the ceremony. There was also quite a bit of color at the annual awards. Gigi Hadid practically supplied every shade imaginable in her bold Versace ensemble. But we also saw lots of reds, blues, greens, pinks and yellows outside of her outfit. A handful of stars opted for black but those looks came with little details like embellishments, pops of pinstripes, lace and lace-up detailing to ensure they were anything but basic.

Eclectic is the best way to describe the front rows at this season’s New York Fashion Week shows. We spotted everyone from actors and actresses to musicians along with social media mavens rubbing shoulders (sometimes literally since those seats can be pretty tight). There was even a pampered pooch who scored a prime spot. Part of the fun of Fashion Week is seeing who gets seated together at these presentations and we were in for a treat as Nicki Minaj posed next to Debbie Harry at Givenchy, Olivia Wilde buddied up to Naomi Watts at Michael Kors, while Alexa Chung plus Solange Knowles equaled a striking sartorial pair at 3.1 Phillip Lim. While most of the media attention during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Fall 2015 was fixated on the runway and the front row, the affiliated parties produced plenty of show-stopping looks. From a flower-focused ball to a store opening and even a cosmetics giant marking an impressive 80 years in the industry, stars really shined in the City of Light. A bit overshadowed by the Parisian presentations, Berlin also rolled out its annual Fashion Week with several models managing to make an impact off the catwalk. Color and embellishments were the two major headlines on the various red carpets. Striking shades came in all forms, like vivid florals and cool colorblocking. Flashy details like crystals and beads also added extra pizazz.

As far as themes go, a lot of attendees shied away from this year’s China: Through the Looking Glass by simply opting for glamorous gowns. Since Blake Lively offered up a barrage of stylish looks over the past week, narrowing down her top ensembles during her promo tour for The Age of Adaline has been tough. The actress managed to squeeze in a remarkable 17 outfit changes and counting (some resonated more strongly than others), which deserves some real praise.
